Masonic Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Seems to me the player with the highest ceiling from the current bunch. Would be interested to hear others opinions on who could potentially go for the most dough in the future.
davie1980 Posted October 5 Posted October 5 I have said since early on I think he's going to be our best signing of the window and even after Ageu I stick by that. But for some reason I get the feeling he won't make us silly money. I think there are a couple others like Braga or Ageu that might make a potentially bigger return. Can't quite put my finger on why, just a gut feeling.
chrisyboy7 Posted October 5 Posted October 5 They will ell make us money along with all their replacements and so on.
OTT Posted October 5 Posted October 5 I hope we get to enjoy them a little longer before we have to think about selling. They've by and large came from a lower level, so I hope we have scope to extend contracts. It would be magic if we could do some quick fire contract extensions, and give ourselves a bit of breathing room that we don't have to sell in the summer to get max value. Even just a years extension.

If he carries on like this, there may even be a transfer tug of war for him.

Boris5115 Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Every time he got the ball last night they rounded on him. They knew he would cause them problems.
Philfigo Posted October 5 Posted October 5 They had no idea how to stop him even with 3 of them on him he still found some brilliant passes. Was funny to watch him toying with them they didn't not have a clue which way he was going to turn.
mr fox Posted October 5 Posted October 5 No doubt about it He will move on to a bigger club for sure but that’s the model and hopefully it works well.

Even just a years extension. I agree with this. The precedent has just been sensibly set with Harry Milne's extra year. The word "fortune" can mean anything - £500k is a fortune, £1m is a fortune, £3m is a fortune etc. but imo the biggest benefit to Hearts will be the reputation we'll have among up-and-coming ambitious players all over Europe as a trusted stepping stone to achieve those ambitions at big clubs paying big wages. That reputation will grow even more if we can win a trophy or 2.

way out west jambo Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Kuhn at Celtic went for £25m…. Kizzy should be at least £30m 👌🏻😎

Can't wait for Ageu to come into the side too.
TheBigO Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Make us a fortune? By getting us to the Champs League? Yeah, he just might.

A season to bed in, a season to show up in Europe and then still have the luxury of a summer to get money in/new contracts.
sac Posted October 5 Posted October 5 The better the team performs then that will help add value to any player we have.

But the beuty of Jamestown is we sell for big bucks and buy even better players....at least that's how I understand of how it works....anyway it's going to be some ride....strap yourself in. 😁😁😁😁
Chong Posted October 5 Posted October 5 I don't mean to make the comparison to him but I genuinely loved watching Barrie McKay playing when he was "on it" but Kyzaridis has all his positive attributes and the side of the game I hated about McKay (not competing, not tracking back, looking disinterested, workshy) Kyzi has in abundance. I do not know the level he will reach but he will certainly make us a few quid and he will be an asset to whichever club he joins.
Corstorphine Jambo Posted October 5 Posted October 5 It’s interesting how well he’s played last couple of games without, for most of the time, an overlapping full back. Rangers and Falkirk, worked really well with Milne at right mid. Yesterday not so much. And we do lose his attacking instinct at left back. An on form Milne and Kyzi on the left would be a potent weapon

I just think what we look for as a fans favourite and what scouts for big clubs are lookikg for aren't always the same thing. I think he'll go for decent money. As I said I can't quite put my finger on why, I don't think he'll be the biggest earner of the current crop. Could be totally wrong, just a hunch.
Stendelnator Posted October 5 Posted October 5 If JTA deems next season is the best time to sell him, we will. And he'll be replaced by someone better.

Baxfee Posted October 5 Posted October 5 He’s still learning. Will be sold eventually but needs to have faith in his left foot to take people on. Love having him.

Yeah a couple of very slight negative points for me is he could possibly get snuffed out games unless he switches it up and now then, and I think there’s a slight lack of pace with him - which might be a reason why he doesn’t go down the outside much. Cruyff Posted October 5 Posted October 5 He's defo got ability but he needs to make the right decisions more often. Same goes for Braga. Both of them have wonderful touch, balance and imagination but it's just fine tuning it a wee bit to play at a higher level. Like sometimes, you don't always need to beat your man. Sometimes slow it and wait for support, or play a one two or switch it, whatever. Both lovely footballers and it's just doing the right thing more often and seeing around them & what's possible. I think come 20 games in, these two will be even better because they've already adapted quickly. Fabulous find and going by the same. Kerjota, big Magnusson, Kabore, they will gradually come into things and play a bigger part as the season goes on. Then Ageu & Chesnokov. Who look a touch above the lot of them. When all these guys settle, it'll be flucking...

Agree. He was a bit too one dimensional coming inside too often. Needs to mix it up a wee bit more by skinning them on the outside as well. Love him to bits but everyone will soon all learn how to play and nullify him.

longmalx Posted October 5 Posted October 5 (edited) I think he has the same issue as Shankland - a lack of pace. I think that will hold some clubs back. Good news for us! A breath of fresh air and all the good attributes of McKay while still willing to graft and do the dirty work. Quickly becoming my favourite player. Edited October 5 by longmalx

Jambo92 Posted October 6 Posted October 6 A lot still to work on but the early signs are very positive. Wanted him to stay out on the wing on Saturday, got sucked into the middle too often. There was a glorious chance to send him through on goal in second half but Braga scuffed a shot at goal instead.

gregzy2k7 Posted October 6 Posted October 6 If he can hit between 10-15 goals this season and get around the same in assists, i think he will go for around 6m+ in the summer imo He is a good age and has the potential to get into the Greek national team imo, I'm sure he is already showing up on other clubs radars.
Riga 2022 Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Kyzi will move on no doubt but for some reason I think Kerjota will be even better Anyway enjoy it Beats last few seasons Diamond shape & all the keek

I think he's been fantastic but his first two months remind me of Valois who was garbage from that point on once he was found out. Hopefully he has more to come. I can see him returning to Greece within a year for a tasty fee though.
Penrices left boot Posted October 11 Posted October 11 ****ung hell, McInnes is already oot the door, now this. Depressing. No idea why fans are so focused on us selling and replacing nowadays.
Diego10 Posted October 11 Posted October 11 All I care about with players is how they play when they're here. Great if you sell them for a good fee but if he's brilliant for us then leaves on a free I'm not losing sleep over it

Jingle Bells Posted October 11 Posted October 11 (edited) 4 hours ago, Flimsy said: It's a core principle of Jamestown to buy low and sell high, as you well know. Do you not like the model? To sell high our players need to prove they are worthy of the price tag through playing well in a European campaign. Brighton players don't need to as they are already proving themselves by playing in allegedly the best league in the world. The way Brighton use Jamestown mightn't be the same way Hearts choose to use them, considering we could be an outside bet for the Champions League money. Edited October 11 by Jingle Bells
LeylandJambo Posted October 12 Posted October 12 He'll make us a bit of money. Maybe not as much as some think but a considerable amount nonetheless.
