How am I angry? I’m confused as to why you’ve waited until he’s just made some great saves in a 2-0 at Ibrox to reveal the details of your German reports saying he’s anxious in front of crowds 😂

bizarre.

Hard to judge a player on one game.

Many on here do that well before a debut

Did well.

Thought he was a bit nervy. But first game in a while. Got 2 weeks now to prepare for next game.

Good decision to sign him. Good decision to play him today.

Hopefully McInnes can get a bounce game or two organised. Make sure any teething problems are sorted.

Got down to a bottom corner shot today, something Zander has really struggled with. Hopefully he’ll only grow in confidence as he gets used to his defenders

Zander would still be going down now

Early days,  did well but I must admit, I think Rangers goal should have stood in which case and he should have been much stronger.  A couple of good saves and looked pretty comfortable otherwise.

Don't think he was the only Hearts player fouled in the box plenty pulling of shirts on Hearts men .

He's unorthodox, struggles with crowds and is prone to heart stopping moments, if he didn't he wouldn't be playing for us. What he offers in terms of shot stopping far outweighs the negatives though when compared to the other options in Clark and Gordon.

I can see why he's at us and I can see why we signed him.

Certainly doesn’t look like catching the ball is his game.  Looked to punch at every opportunity.   Xcellent back up for Gordon from Falkirk game onwards.

I got flapper vibes :(

Anyway clean sheet in a tough place for a debut. Onwards and upwards

Yep, flapped twice, came out of box twice when he shouldn’t have and one poor kick out that nearly cost us.   2/3 excellent saves.  Big guy, kicks the ball well.  Jury is out for me.

The one he tipped onto the bar, Clark doesn't save that. That in itself is enough for me to be happy with him as number 1.

Thought he played well, couple of nerves but they will iron out.

I'm hoping he is our modern day Gilles Rousset. Experienced keeper who will be a presence. Very happy with his joining us.

Feel sorry for Zander, just not what's required for us moving forward. Little point in building an outfield 10 with a keeper who's confidence seems shot. He did a job for us, but we are moving in a direction he Isn't part of.  Have to wish him well.

Early days, but the big German looks the part for the forseeable.

No chance, he'll be our number 1 for the rest of the season.

I caught the 2nd half today.

He looked good but had a couple of shaky moments which were hopefully just debut nerves.

Not many keepers get a debut and a clean sheet at Ibrox so I think the no 1 spot is his for now

I seriously liked what I saw from big Alex today.

A real commanding presence and some agility for a big guy.

Rousset esque.

Yep. Could sense how calmer the defence was with him behind them. Will only improve.

Can put a goal kick just outside the opposition 18 yard line.

Much to like.

noticed that!  that's an option we've not had before

Funny, I got the exact opposite and have said to others "nice to have a keeper that doesn't flap at everything"!

Same here. I didn't feel like he was about to chuck one into his own net like the Dundee Utd keeper did today.

agree.

I would say he is not a typical British goalkeeper, the way he saves is knocking balls away rather than catching the ball which may make some fans nervous, but I do think if embraced then will do well for us.

Must say, watching the game back, he pulled off 2 or 3 really top saves, I think Zander probably concedes the Assgard shot and the one later in the match from close range that is hit at pace.

Looks a good find.

I don’t think any GKs catch the ball nowadays unfortunately, theres only about two British GKs in teams in our league anyway.

Looked good, great tip onto the bar, some hoof on him too, hard and low, not the outdated high crap our GK coach favours.

He's better than I  thought he'd be.  He must be delighted with his defence.   It helps having an organised defence in front of him.

Some of his critics must be scratching their ear-holes at that performance 😂

Like a dream having him at Hearts after watching Freiburg with him as #1.

He'll get tested in different scenarios but he's come out fantastic today versus Rangers.  His kicking was definitely noticeably good.

I thought it was a clear foul on him by Aasgaard..  Raised arm.   Clearly pissed at the wonder save in the first half.

A guy that chose us over better financial offers immediately has my respect. Same age as Rousset was when we signed him. Hope it’s the start of something as beautiful.

Will wait, think their disallowed goal was a bit soft.

His kickout in the first half also caused 5 minutes of nonsense after us being in control.

First game tho and he done OK.

Hopefully much more in the locker than today. Didn’t have much confidence in him though hopefully that changes the more game time he gets.

Honestly, I just don't get this.

What exactly did he do wrong?

I'm irrationally confident about this guy after one match.

He looks like he has plenty left in the tank and 33 isn't too old for his position.

Well that's him buggered then!  😉

Well probably the most important Schwolow performance statistic is, according to the Scrabble Score Calculator, he’s worth 19 points.

100% shot stopper which is indeed his job , claiming crosses at corners is also part of it . saved the game but also could have lost it ( ish ) every hearts player will have a weakness or they’d be at Real Madrid 👍from me

Doesn’t stand in the Morden game as I said at the time

Going to have to get more games before anybody can make a real assessment of his ability but he did make a few good saves... on the other hand I though he was a bit edgy at some points when they had a lot of players around him. Let's see how he progresses before making a judgement yesterday was a huge game in front of a huge crowd he is probably going to feel a bit of extra pressure?

Good shot stopper, decent with the ball at his feet and kicking.  Not convincing with cross balls and corners.

Can be pleased with his debut, will wait a few games before judging him due to his lack of match practice.

Not really the game to judge him in IMO. One absolute outstanding save and one dodgy moment he got away with. Ultimately a clean sheet.

Flappy at crosses and lost a soft disallowed goal. Couple of decent saves and a clean sheet mostly thanks to the ref and the post.
