That’s some rollercoasters of emotions looking at that team sheet by the way…

Back 3?

Ageu on the bench!

:omg!:

Spittal starting?

Forrest not in the squad…

:omg!:

Kabore not in the squad either though…

:sadrobbo:

3 central defenders and 2 defensive midfielders mean we’ve got the new wingers on, right? *Sees Kyziridis and Kerjota on the bench*

Far too slow, we went to back 4 at the end of the Motherwell game, we was right wing.

Nope. Kent, Halkett and Findlay were in a 3 with Spittal and Milne either side.

Wonder if he’s forgotten that he’s left Kilmarnock.

We should be playing to win, not looking as if we want a point.

Let’s see how long he spends talking about Livvy and what they do and how we’ll try to counteract it.

Del I don’t give a flying F what Livvy do or don’t do, focus on making us far better than this.

nailed it.  Kyzi should be starting

So he has shit it from Livingston or shit it cause of what happened against Motherwell either way he has def set us up to be more solid looking.

That midfield looks horrendous.

Should be enough to win hopefully.

3 foreign players again - I was at the wind up a bit last week...but it does seem there's something to that. Would be 2 I guess if Braga hadn't made himself undroppable.

Would much rather Braga at 10 with Shankland and Kabangu ahead of him than Spittal again. I was surprised when he was signed, surprised when we persevered with him last season and staggered that were still playing him despite all the signings we've made...surely, surely they're better than him?

No Forrest or Kartum in the squad, but Spittal plays. It might tell us something about Monday transfers.

I'm sure we'll get the 3 points but again he seems to be worrying about the opposition.

Livi not blessed with pace at the back and he's not selected a team to try and get in behind them (for the 1st half anyway).

No chance, that was Jones and McKinlay's doing.

Advantages of 3-5-2:

1. Suits Shankland as a lone striker role doesn't suit him

2. Er....

3. That's it!

He definitely only sees Kyziridis as an impact player

Chesnokov will be wondering where he's gonna fit in

I know mate. As much as I didn’t want DM I’m not going to lose my shit just yet.

Thats a ‘win the battle’ starting 11 imo

With that many defensive players in the team you would have thought it's fairly safe to give Forrester a run at RB and Kysridis wide.

McEntee lucky to get a place.

That team is slow, ponderous and not the most creative. Against a team like Livi we really should be more attack minded. 8 defensive players is pretty poor.

If he doesn’t get 3 points today it’s going to become a tad touchy for him.

My guess would be McEntee RWB and Spittal the forward thinking of a midfield 3, playing mostly left to try and link up with Milne like he did with Penrice last season. Given the players at our disposal and the squad depth we have that certain players can’t even make the bench, you do wonder the thinking behind this.

Braga needs to be as fantastic as he was last week for us to do well in first 60 minutes.

McEntee, Braga and Spittal to come off after 65 mins?

Spittal is playing RWB imo.

Don’t like that team. Starting to get concerned about DM. Must win game, big performance required.

Well McInnes. Arrogance is often masked by experiment. I seriously hope you know what you’re doing. No Kabore, Shankland starting, Kyziridis benched.

Another strange team selection is Spittal right wing back?

I think he is going back to winning the battle then bringing on the ball players in the second half.

Resting Forrest so we don't scupper his big move to La Liga on Monday🇱🇻

Kent was playing RB was my take, 4-3-3 Spittal right of the 3

Looks bigger and more physical  Chesnokov so he won't have a dilemma about playing him

McInnes seemed to play 2 wingers Murray and Armstrong at Killie with 2 CFs Vassell and Anderson. In the same team.

I'm not getting why now at a bigger club, better players, and particularly the options up front.

Why he'd now drop wingers. Introduce another CH.

Teams will tend to sit in more against Hearts than Killie. We need to be more offensive.

Every fan wants a back 4 to allow more offensive players in a 442 or 4231 or 433.

Should still have enough to win despite not being a fan of formation,or starting lineup cmon the Hearts!!!!!!

Wilson and McGowan to have solid games and Muirhead to score following Bokila running our back 3 tagged I predict

(This is only half a joke by the way)

I'm now on board with this train of thought.

FAR too defensive to take proper advantage of what should be a game-changing system.

I will say this, David gray plays his strongest team and doesn’t worry about the opposition. Why is our 900 game manager worried about the battle and not concentrating on putting out the best team.

Posted

7 densive players against Livingston.

Another triple sub at half time again.

Posted

Can't say I'm excited with this lineup but plenty of pace/skill to come off the bench. My main issue is Forrester. Why the hell stop him playing games in Perth just to have him sitting in the stands??

That's fairly obvious. He's the key player we are missing on the right.

It's where he finished the Motherwell game. Although I watched that game on my phone in a cannabis club in Barca. So maybe not an authority 😁

It's the 4th League game of the season. Do you think he is going to leave our record signing out the side?

Another mystifying selection.

I hope to be proven wrong with a convincing performance and victory.

Posted

He went on about being really aggressive and going after teams right from the start of matches in his pre season chats.

Money on Braga getting taken off around the hour mark. Too exciting.

Deek’s not a fan of the new signings, eh? 😬

What is going on with these team selections ?!

Questions will be being asked behind the scenes.

Very odd

Serious talent not getting a chance

Exactly. Take out Braga and not a single creative player in the line-up.

It may well be what he thinks is best for where we are right now until he beds in players etc but man it is so disappointing.

Anyway come on the Hearts.

Exactly let's hope Milne romps up and down that wing and Devlin has a master class. In comes new boy and sets up three
