Malinga the Swinga Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 Appreciate there is a gulf in class but 19-0 is some effort and the team are building up nicely. Home to Celtic next in cup who were jammy to beat the Hibs women. No reason to fear them

Mikey1874 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Stirling playing without a goalkeeper wasn't the best plan.
Kalamazoo Jambo Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Hearts v Partick currently underway(4pm kickoff). Don’t see it online so only watching one Hearts game at the moment
Malinga the Swinga Posted January 25 Author Posted January 25 Didn't realise Katie Lockwood had left Glasgow City for England.
John Findlay Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Good chance to go Second if we beat Montrose this midweek coming.
Malinga the Swinga Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 3-0 Hearts after 20 minutes away to Montrose
Rudiscoresagain Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Up to 2nd in the league on goal difference. 9 ponts ahead of the verminettes.
Mikey1874 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Youngster Olivia Chomzcuk back at Hearts after being on loan at Montrose.

Heart&soul Posted January 28 Posted January 28 How does this work - am I missing something obvious here? 🤔

Jambo-Fox Posted January 28 Posted January 28 (edited) Thinks it’s something about head to head with clubs level on points as in most goals scored … and also why Partick Thistle are above Motherwell Edited January 28 by Jambo-Fox
Saint Jambo Posted January 28 Posted January 28 4 minutes ago, Heart&soul said: How does this work - am I missing something obvious here? 🤔 Yes. The rules of the SWPL is clubs tied on points go to head-to-head before it goes to goal difference. You will also see this for Patrick and Motherwell. The table is the same on the SWPL website.
Heart&soul Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Ah okay, makes sense now - I was about to disappear down a west coast conspiracy theory rabbit hole - my wife’s grateful we’ve narrowly avoiding unhinged rant 😶
Jambo-Fox Posted January 28 Posted January 28 (edited) Assuming all things stay equal on points if we (HMFC Women) beat them (Celtic Women) in the next scheduled match 2-0 we go above them! 3 goals to 2 goals!! …. but there is still a third game away to be played! Edited January 28 by Jambo-Fox
Malinga the Swinga Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 16 minutes ago, Heart&soul said: How does this work - am I missing something obvious here? 🤔 Celtics last 2 games before spilt are Glasgow City away and Hearts at home. We are at home to Aberdeen before Celtic game. 2 wins for Hearts would be welcome. As it looks like current top 6 will stay the same, Montrose will be fortunate to get a point in last 10 games. Bit of a slog for them but they'll avoid possible relegation so will be happy I guess. If we are only 5 behind Glasgow City at break, then a league double could still be on the cards.

Our next game is Aberdeen at home. After split teams play home and away for 28 game season. Unlike SPL, it means top 6 play everyone same number of times. Bottom 4 play 6 more games.

Thanks for clarifying

A better GD but behind on the head to head with Glasgow City

AndrewB Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I don't see Hibs as a threat this season, but Hearts, Hibs and Rangers should all win today. If we want to finish 2nd, a Glasgow City win over Celtic will be best, but any other result keeps the dream alive. I think City will beat them.
