Tollcross OB Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Celtic took Scott from Hibs to manage them. Celtic had a Spanish coach and there was a story that was indirectly how she came to Hearts. Submitted a coaching clinic on one of the games to Savage

I can't even remember the context but it was either '**** it' or '**** that' or **** them' as a throwaway line towards the end of a response to one of Phil Goodlad's questions. She then gave a wee chuckle and Phil spluttered an apology for the early morning profanity Obviously a highly dubious source but I really hope this is accurate…
Maroon Sailor Posted June 2 Posted June 2 A hard act for Thomson to follow. I wonder what his remit will be and what will be a realistic aim next season.

Portable Badger Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Some people have expressed their belief that Women’s Football in Scotland is under pressure and reduction of wholly professional women’s players likely. It seems it’s not just Scotland. Plymouth Argyle - Women’s Mgr suddenly resigns, Club email most of the players informing them they’re being released. They also say however they’re committed to having a Women’s team !! Co announcement below: https://www.pafc.co.uk/news/club-statement-argyle-women There is a wider belief among the fans that Argyle are about to enter administration again.

I've heard some murmurings that Hearts commitment to funding the women's team is waning and that they may have considered going semi-professional once again. Winning the league and being in Europe may influence that decision, but there is no doubt that, on a purely financial basis, the women's team loses money each season, with little prospect of balancing the books in the short to medium term. I'd be disappointed if Hearts do go down that route, given that their success reflects positively on the club as a whole, but I can understand it if the bean counters say that it's unsustainable. Not a huge surprise if this should coincide with Ann Budge moving over...I suspect this was her project.
Always the Hearts Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Was James Anderson not a big financial supporter of the women's team/game?
Footballfirst Posted Saturday at 17:53 Posted Saturday at 17:53 Hearts girls played Celtic in the U17s cup final at Kirkintilloch this afternoon. I've been told that they were leading 2-0 in injury time, but haven't had the final score confirmed. Without VAR or Willie Collum involved I'm sure that even Hearts couldn't lose from there. Can anyone confirm the result?

Pasquale for King Posted Saturday at 21:53 Posted Saturday at 21:53 Seems strange to win the league and then make cut backs. Especially when JTA is finding players for the team, maybe they think they will get us better players on the cheap?
Kalamazoo Jambo Posted Monday at 11:17 Posted Monday at 11:17 Jenny Smith signs from Celtic on a 1 year contract. Welcome back, Jenny https://www.heartsfc.co.uk/blogs/news/jenny-smith-returns-to-hearts-women
