4 points off top of the league and yet at half time last week we had eejits asking for manager to be sacked.

Good result today and with Glasgow City/Hibs drawing we closed Gap on one and extended lead over the other.

Despite losing all their games and only scoring 3 goals, Hamilton don't make it easy. Glasgow City only beat them 1-0.

No Hearts players in the main Scotland international squad despite being second in the league.

But

It's slightly misleading when it says Maria McAneny is out of under 21's. Factually true but she has been called into main squad.

4 Celtic players and 2 from Rangers although Hearts currently ahead of both. I'd have thought Eilidh Shore would be close to squad as she is a permanent stand out for Hearts but midfield seems to be hardest to get into.

Don't know if Husband, 17,  too young or Waldie, 25, not considered as they are no worse than Docherty, who is 33, with far more time on their side.

Monica Forsyth, Eilidh Shore and Bailey Hutchison are the other Hearts players in the Scotland U23 squad.

Play Belguim in friendly away on Thursday.

Presumably because Waldie is English. McAneny has been probably the standout player in the league this season and she was rightly nominated for Young Player of the League while playing for a much worse version of Hearts Women. A hard worker and a lovely girl.

Ah, being English would be a justification!

Very disappointing to see Easter Road considered as part of womens world cup bid 2035 and Tynecastle is not. How anyone can consider a Mecanno build stadium as worthy of even initial consideration is beyond understanding.

Scored on debut shortly after coming on as sub. Got the ponderous, lacking ideas Scotland a draw.

Acht, we'll have Mens and Women's champions league games at Tynie regularly by then.

Hearts didn't submit it.

Haven’t seen much coverage of this but the Scotland Women’s U 19s are going well in their current tournament, with a 1-1 draw against Norway and a late turnaround 2-1 win over the Netherlands. Seven Hearts players in the squad of 20, although four are out on loan. Four of our women started  against the Netherlands - Erin and Jessica Husband plus Ashley Robertson (on loan at Montrose) and Izzy Young (on loan at Spartans).

Final game of the current stage is tomorrow (Tuesday) in Kirkintilloch against Croatia. Scotland have the chance to finish at least second in the group, which gives a reasonable seeding for the next round in March. Only the group winners in the March round go on to the finals

Another excellent result, with 5 Hearts women involved (including 3 who are out on loan), and two others unused subs.

The next stage is a similar top level group in March, from which the  7 group winners join the hosts (Bosnia) in the finals next summer. By finishing second this time, Scotland will be a second seed when the March groups of four are drawn.

Watching Scotland women's team in game v China. We scored 3 in 5 minutes to lead 3-0 after 16 minutes, including a Kenny McLean type effort, and since then it's been a sloppy performance that saw a 3-1 lead at half time.

We then missed a penalty at start of second half on attempt to get hat trick for Howatt but she not only missed penalty, she had rebound, ball hit keeper after it hit post, from 6 yards in front of open goal but she hit that over bar.

That missed penalty means second seed instead of top seed then. Explains why after missing it, player lying on floor with head in hands as she knew it made difference.

Thankfully we have Timms taking our penalties and she sticks them in corners.

Now 3-2 as Scotland defence looks so poor every time China attack.

Docherty and the centre halfs incapable of marking anyone which if you watch them play is no surprise.

Disappointing none of the Hearts girls are not getting near the National team.  Seems the same mentality.  Play for the OF and your in.  Both teams are currently below Hearts.  Shore, for sure is a tidy player

I see the cup game at Spartans is off.  Is it an unplayable pitch or other reason?

Per Spartans Women’s Instagram - ‘due to a significant leak within the Foundation Building’.

Okey dokey, thanks.

If you read the tweet too fast like I did, it looks like a gas leak, which would be even worse.

Hearts double their advantage! It was fantastic from Danique Ypema who weaved her way into the box, The Spartans defence failed to clear their lines and Bayley Hutchison pounced and struck one into the bottom left corner for 2-0!

It's 3-0 Hearts! Johns drives into the box and plays it to Sade who hits a curled effort past Yates!

It's four! Johns drove into the box, got a low strike away which was palmed away by Yates as far as Forsyth who was on hand to tap it home for 4-0!
