John Findlay Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 No nodding of heads in agreement at the back, please. A few months back when the European draw was made and the games scheduled. I asked work for a lieu day today as, it was my intention to travel to Bruges with my 16 years old laddie for the game last night. Work cameback and said you are KIT2(keep in touch two), basically Two people were in front of me for today off and my chances were zero. So naturally I didn't book any flights or accommodation and resigned myself to watching on the telly. Imagine my surprise last Thursday when I was told I had my lieu day today. I was a bit miffed as it was to late to book flights and accommodation at a reasonable price so late in the day. However I've only gone and turned up at work today for my 3pm start and wondered why I didn't have a diagram. I have completely forgot I have the day off. So I'm sat here in uniform at the Costa coffee on top of Princes mall enjoying a medium Americano with cold milk, telling myself what an utter numpty I am. Quote

Tazio Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Years ago I slept in for an early Sunday start so as my wife wanted to use the car later I couldn’t take it so woke her up to drive me in. Got there just in time only for the place to be empty. An hour or so later my co-workers arrived and then pissed themselves laughing at me. Guess who hadn’t realised the clocks had changed? And I’m the boss. As you can imagine I was hugely popular at home later on. Quote

Bairnjambo Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 I worked with someone who put their clock an hour forward one October instead of back so turned up 2 hours early for their shift on that Sunday. Quote
