It's already going to happen. We'll  lose v celtic at parkhead. St mirren is make or break for Naismith he needs to win 3 games in a row after celtic to keep his job.

It'll no happen before the celtic game and that sums our club up.. 1 win in 4 months 🤣

Unfortunately if we have to pay out the ridiculous extended contract we are more likely to be able to afford Radio dj Chris Moyles than actually accomplished manage David Moyes! But hey we are the biggest club owned club in the country so it's all good

We won’t there will be a pay off clause, 6 months salary or the likes. The days of managers getting their full contract paid up are long gone.

If every FoH member chipped in an extra 20 pound a month we could get the best manager available

I want us to show some ambition and bring in someone who sorts out a team and has them playing effectively straight away.  Someone who has the impact of George Burley would be ideal.

Kjell Knutsen would be perfect.

Said it before,  my pick would be Polish coach Marek Papszun. He done an outstanding job with a team from nowhere in Polish football up through the divisions to win the national league and Cup!!

People keep saying that.

If that's true what's the point of a contract ?

Also for a line on the new manager bingo we need McInnes, Robinson & Docherty.

For the full house we need Martindale and John McGlynn

True, he might have guided us to 11th. Still not a strong case to seriously consider him. Also a pity Aldi Klopp turned down the chance to sign CG stating he was happy with the ‘keepers’ he had.

Reading through a lot of these names...Steven Naismith.

I mean Barry Ferguson, FFS. He wouldn't have the time anyway from being interviewed outside Ibrox discussing events at Ibrox/Hampden.

It definitely won't be Liam Fox either, I'd put money on it.

As for who I think it should be, no idea other than someone not involved in Scottish football and has a proven track record of playing high intensity front foot football *

* not ****ing Stendel

The Fat Number 8

Its a total mess.

Big decision to A) sack Naismith

B, if a Director of Football is to be appointed then that has to come first before a new manager is appointed.

A costly mess whatever way.

Not sure?  Maybe a mutual agreement thing?  Both parties have a discussion and the parting managers agrees and signs.  6 months pay off activated.

Or, he says to the club pay me off but I’m not agreeing with your decision.

We then have to pay up in full but it also may mean the parting manager can’t seek employment in the remaining period?

Who exactly is going to appoint this new manager?

We have no DoF or Sporting director whatever Savage was. No one seems to bothered about this but we failed to deliver in the transfer window again, we failed to secure our prize striker on a new deal and now folk are screaming for a new manager.

Maybe time McKinlay came out of hiding again!

This is the main point that isn’t being discussed enough for me.

Our director of football has just left, so not only who is deciding to sack Naismith but who’s picking his replacement?

A woman who ran an IT company? Or maybe the guy who used to be in charge of Scottish Golf? Or maybe the banker lad? All three of them together?

As is far too often the case under this regime for all the good they’ve done we’re left looking like complete and utter amateurs when it comes to the football side of things. Which for a football club is far from ideal I’d say.

Right then; assuming the board make a decision over the coming days, who would everyone like? Scottish manger? English manager? Something different?

Sorry. Pointless post. He's just signed new deal. He's going nowhere at least until Xmas. But I will play along. Pep Guardiola. Could do a job 👍

Big problem now is a new manager has to come in to help new players settle in (some of which are from halfway around the world) and he didn’t even sign any of them

Never seen his team play, my partners brother told me about his team Rokov Czestowa. I think he'd be worth trying to get for an interview

Dave Challinor is doing cracking work at Stockport. I don’t know if that qualifies him for us but he’s had a really good thing going on there

Not saying we should   but at least he tried to play attacking football despite a board who did not back him. Then reappointed neilsen

I agree but, signing a new deal with Hannover 3 years,he needs to earn his stripes again, would I want him yes,but this team needs a proper clean up, knutsen plays a similar style but 433,knutsen would be two years at us with a team likely trying to poach him,he would install a mentality and a style of play for the likes of Stendel to come in,if he's proved himself again to build on.

But in the meantime if Stendel can be middle table, with Hannover b team i would class that as a very good season for him.

I’d like a new manager. But one thing about the board is, they back their managers and give them time. I can’t see a change happening.

Folk do realise that Knutsen is someone who will probably be in the frame for the Manchester United job?

Find it bizarre that folk think he’s this well kept secret. The guy will be on lists and the Hearts job would hold zero interest for him.

I agree but we need to get the philosophy settled first,Knutsen like Stendel plays a high press.

But knutsen will demand more from the board or he simply won't come.

If he's to do well knutsen will demand he's to be backed.

What I'm saying let Knutsen come in and bring in his high press attacking possession based philosophy, similar to Stendel who is earning his stripes again.

And when a team poaches Knutsen from us providing he gets us playing well and fighting, then is the time to approach Stendel.

But i agree atleast he would stick to a style of play, and we know what he is trying to do.

Currently I don't think Stendel has the same authority like Knutsen does, his name carries more weight due to what he's achieved with Bodo.
