Not saying we should   but at least he tried to play attacking football despite a board who did not back him. Then reappointed neilsen

He was the worst manager tactically I’ve seen in 30 odd years watching hearts. He had Berra and Halkett defending on the halfway line ffs. His solution to anything was to chuck on another striker. Even if it was the midfield getting over ran or the defence getting caught out. He just chucked another striker on. He also thought Joel Pereira was a good option because he was ‘good with his feet’. Plus the aforementioned refusal to idea of Gordon returning.

Hand on heart I’d rather have a co management of Neilson and Naismith with Levein as DOF than being Stendel back.

I agree but, signing a new deal with Hannover 3 years,he needs to earn his stripes again, would I want him yes,but this team needs a proper clean up, knutsen plays a similar style but 433,knutsen would be two years at us with a team likely trying to poach him,he would install a mentality and a style of play for the likes of Stendel to come in,if he's proved himself again to build on.

But in the meantime if Stendel can be middle table, with Hannover b team i would class that as a very good season for him.

Valérien Ismaël Is an improvement on Stendel, and he’s out of work. And he can get any young shïte you’ve got at the club, to play the way he wants to.

Folk do realise that Knutsen is someone who will probably be in the frame for the Manchester United job?

Find it bizarre that folk think he’s this well kept secret. The guy will be on lists and the Hearts job would hold zero interest for him.

Not quite. Was linked with Sunderland, Swansea, Rangers... Don't think he's massively out of our league but probably is slightly. Weird that nobody has actually taken him on though.

Oh I didn’t like Neilson but Naismith is way worse than him. Thick as shit too

Something different, a manager with experience from abroad. The same route Aberdeen have gone down.

Going down the same route Aberdeen were on was what got us into this current debacle.

If we pay to get rid of the 3 staff then where is the money going to come room to attract a half decent manager? Some on here thought we were going to pay £ 1 million for dykes or the lad who's just gone from Dundee to Celtic. We DO NOT have that kind of cash 🤷‍♂️

And they’ve gotten out of it with clear management from their board. We are playing catch up with them all the time it’s ****ing demoralising.

Ur suggestion. 2 years ago aye. We cannot tempt the most sought after manger in Europe to come to us ffs we are struggling to afford Alex Neil 😂

If it's anyone who's previously been connected to Hearts in any way I'll scream. Someone who's never set foot in tynecastle and couldn't find Scotland on a map would be my preference.

Is it so hard to just find a real manager rather than constantly hiring rookies and people who've worked for Hearts before?

Liam fox is my worry. We sack Naismith after losing a last minute goal to st mirren. We then appoint him as interm. Win the next 3-4 games. Then the club give him the job until end of season. Seriously I'd rather keep Naismith on that situation. If we replace him as manager it needs to be an experienced manager.

+1

The whole squad did, they went from a team that only stayed up due to another club being docked points, to a team that finished 5th and narrowly missed out on a playoff final. The style of football wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I loved it.

Just a suggestion Mr anderson says we can't afford to keep turning over players and managers yes? So maybe appoint a manager that will improve and potentially make the club money 🤔 just a thought mate.

Kim Hellberg at Hammarby. We almost appointed their previous manager over Naismith (Cifuentes) and I'd like to see us try and pinch him. He's young at 36 but has been coaching for a number of years with success in Sweden. Took Varnamo, a team playing in the Allsvenskan for the first time, to 10th (very safe mid table) in his first year there and then took them up to 5th the following year. Joined Hammarby last December when Cifuentes left and currently has them sitting 2nd after a fairly poor season under Cifuentes last year. Think he was interviewed for the Sunderland job before he joined Hammarby.

Probably a bit tactically 'out there' for the 442 "get it up the park hertz!" mob but would definitely be an interesting, ambitious appointment for me.

I don’t want naisy as manager but making suggestions like that are a ridiculous shout.

Thank-you that was a good season to be fair 👍.

And he would have it far easier up here.

In terms of quality, I like that suggestion alot.

Any new manager has to have his team join him immediately also. Not like how Stendal was handed that travesty of a squad by Levein and had to do everything himself while his two assistants joined weeks apart later on. No, Naismith, Forrest and McAvoy all gone. Let Fox be temp until new manager and his TEAM join him.

Indeed. I wanted Cifuentes appointed at the time but Naismith won me around with results last season (performances, less so). To be fair Cifuentes hasn't exactly worked wonders at QPR, he's stabilised them a bit after two shocking managers but not really exceeding expectations, so might not have been any better here.

Someone with experience of managing at the level we play at...ideally someone who took a smaller club to regular European qualification and got them competing (winning the odd unexpected points etc) in the groups there.

No more experiments.

We employ grown men who dive when a defender brushes them. It's shameful.

That’s 21st century football, and it’ll only get worse, it’s virtually been a non contact sport since the turn of the century.

lost in space

We NEED to appoint a reliable DoF/SD first. He needs to be part of the process.

No point in bringing in a new coach - then finding the new DoF doesn't appreciate him.

ANDREW MCKINLAY - WHERE ARE YOU???
