Blackpool 1 point from their last 3 games and currently 3-1 down tonight. Bit quick to get rid of Critchley it would appear.

The horrible news from Steve Bruce family must of had an effect on the whole

club tho. Think they had being going great guns before that. Horrible news heart goes out to him and his family

The elite badge was for a training course that the FA ran once then discontinued. So it doesn’t mean that much.

I love what I’ve seen of Critchley so far, just don’t think that particular badge matters.

Regardless of the prestige or lack thereof surrounding the one off elite coaching badge, it’s still 18 months of training above and beyond the UEFA Pro License

Well educated? You don't know the difference between a plural and a possessive and you're well educated?

Well educated in hindsight, mate, that's about it

Just going to the other extreme and you don't seem to notice the recursive irony

Granted, none of us here know how involved he is, but Bloom’s managerial picks tend to be pretty spot on. More than spot on even. That’s why I’ve consistently felt, if his team are involved - I have 100% confidence he’ll be good/

Though I’m starting to wonder why the Bloom partnership hasn’t been announced yet. Maybe it won’t be?

“Finding the next big thing before they become the next big thing” is exactly what StarLizard are so good at. They must have identified something very strong in Critchley if he was the number one candidate from the start.

Watched the press conference. He seems a humble character, not one for blowing his own trumpet. But came across as a real football man. Quietly confident in his own ability.

The receipts on here could be very interesting if he’s head hunted by an English club in the next couple of years.

Long way to go but another good win.

You’re hot on the heels of Chelsea in the Europa Conference table, which makes me happy as well.

Early days of course, but Critchley seems to be doing a good job so far. Despite his reputation I had high hopes if he was selected by Bloom and his teams he’d be a success.

He’s Inherited a team low on confidence and appears to be turning it around quickly playing well and getting results. Which is all you can ask for, and gets the fans onside straight away.

Cheers to everyone at Hearts tonight.

Thanks mate.

So much better than we have had recently.

A win against the wee team on Sunday at lunchtime will make it a cracking week.

I'm loving the start the man has had and I mean this entirely in jest, but am I the only one who thinks he has a bit of the 'Steve Mclaren in Holland' about him when he talks? 😂

The impressive thing is how quickly he’s identified the important and necessary things.
As a poster in the match thread said - he looks entirely ready for the challenge.

There a way to make this a new chant?

"This is our pitch

It's Gorgie Rules

You play our game and

We're coming after you

That's what we do

That's what we do..."

Heh bit silly, but really liking how he's going about things!

I don't think Neil Critchley or many of our fans could have imagined a better start to his managerial reign so far. 2 wins at home, 2 clean sheets aswell, nothing more you can ask for. The biggest test of all is now on Sunday for me. If we can get a win at Easter Road, I dont think anyone would've imagined how quick things could've turned around for us. I'm more confident now than I have been at any point in the season for Sundays game.

This is very good, well done sir 👏

Have to say, so far the appointment of Critchley looks good.

Maybe the Board got it right this time?

Time will tell, but two wins on the trot and an away derby draw is certainly a big step up.

Still unbeaten in three, good start.

3 games - makes his subs at about the 60 mins mark.

Subs paid off today.

all in all - a very very good week 👍🏻

Very brave substitutions paid off

No complaints today. Set us up very well as you could see from the first 20 minutes.

Hibs dragged us down to their level, get a flukey, scrappy goal v our tired legs. He makes offensive changes and we take something from the game.

8.5/10 for the first week in charge!

Well done to the manager with the substitutions to keep his unbeaten run going.Going to be an ongoing process to coach the iPad trio out of the team.He will have noticed the team sloping back to old habits a few times today but I  trust in him to sort it

No way would the previous managers have made those changes.

It is not just about the subs. It was how we played the last 15 with us pushing forward..wished it would have been earlier though...

As someone posted elsewhere,  he’ll have learnt a lot today.  I know derbies are a bit different to most games, but the lack of actual football played could also apply to most games involving St Mirren, Killie or Dundee Utd, so good lessons can be learned.

Posted

My only question would be why that game was so different from the last two in terms of approach and harrying etc. Think someone mentioned something about his two spells at Blackpool and his away record not being great. Not sure if anyone has the stats on his away games record.

Can't argue with that. Ended up with just Grant sitting, we dug a draw out of nothing tbh because we never really looked like scoring until Forrest and Wilson came on.

Spittal looked jaded after his recent exploits. Expected way more from Dhanda.

Our marking at crosses was poor and but for Gordon and woeful Hibs finishing we'd have lost that today.

Much work for Critchley to do in January and in his first full transfer window this summer.

We had a European game on Thursday night 🤷 I think NC has been a breath of fresh air 👏👏👏👏

Just tiredness, we've put a lot of effort in against St Mirren and Omonia. High press today was nowhere near good enough in comparison to Thursday. Fitness levels not at the level needed. A poor pre-season still haunting us.

Nobody really available to offer different options to Shanks and Vargas.

Look at Spittal as an example, has been outstanding then a bit meh today.

Disappointed with Dhanda, should have been fresh but didn't influence the game at all.
