Jamb04life Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Right then; assuming the board make a decision over the coming days, who would everyone like? Scottish manger? English manager? Something different?
Shankland31 Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 A German. Or Paul Lambert. Maybe McInnes.
Gordon_1874 Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Something different, a manager with experience from abroad. The same route Aberdeen have gone down.
Gambo Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 We need something different, we need someone imo with no connections to us or Scottish Football. i have zero faith in the ability of this board to find the right person. If Naismith goes can some one please lock all corridor doors.
EH11 2NL Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Someone outside the usual pish names we get linked with
Flimsy Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 I like the cut of the jib of the new Aberdeen manager, just knew he would do well. There must be experienced managers hanging about other European leagues who speak good English and would love a shot at the conference league. I would see if Paulo Sergio wants to come back. He could hit the ground running and would have goodwill from most fans.

Something like this, all recent managers of ours have been carbon copies in terms of style of play and unable to take ownership
rudi must stay Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 (edited) Wouldn't mind Paul Hartley or Barry Ferguson Edited September 1, 2024 by rudi must stay

ScottieMac17 Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Paulo Sergio or another European manager
RustyRightPeg Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Be as well keeping him with some of the names folk are rattling off 🫢
Jamhammer Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 A forward thinking manager with new ideas. No connection to Scottish football.
BlingCrosby Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 +1 for Alex Neil. Sometimes the obvious thing to do is the best thing to do.
Meldrum Jambo Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 An experienced manager from abroad with a different perspective. I’ve had enough of the project managers.

Martin_T Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 (edited) Anyone who doesn't spell or pronounce their name as 'Liam Fox'. Edited September 1, 2024 by Martin_T
Boris5115 Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 In my dreams David Moyes. In reality Alex Neill.
KyleLafferty Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Every suggestion on this thread is horrible
amadjambo Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Whoever it is must be able to motivate a team and want to play attacking football. None of this possession for possessions sake turgid stuff we’ve had to suffer for years now.

Sergio Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Would like someone with experience and no connections to Scottish Football , Dreaming as couldn't afford wages but Graham Potter would be nice
DS98 Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Foreign. Stendel was a disaster but that shouldn’t put us off.

Carter Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 The choices will be Liam Fox and Andy Webster.

EVHearts Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 David Wagner - Foreign Alex Neil - Scottish Manager Tony Mowbray - I know, but actually like the way he gets teams playing
vegas-voss Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Due diligence from the board interviews and pick the best option. No more the guy along the corridor or cheap as chips option.

Debut 4 Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 (edited) Make the change now and don’t throw the new man under the bus when it’s got even worse being we’re mired in bad form and half a season in. Edited September 1, 2024 by Debut 4

Someone mysterious, with a sexy name. Stendel was foreign but we shouldn't let that deter us. Stendel isn't every foreign manager who has ever been, or ever will be.
BackOfTheNet Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 45 or under Not been anywhere near the Scottish game and it’s archaic tactics European management experience if possible Good English Thats my requirements
Rudy T Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Who exactly is going to appoint this new manager? We have no DoF or Sporting director whatever Savage was. No one seems to bothered about this but we failed to deliver in the transfer window again, we failed to secure our prize striker on a new deal and now folk are screaming for a new manager. Maybe time McKinlay came out of hiding again!

Holyrood_Hearts Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Has to be Alex Neil or a foreign manager. Nobody in Scotland certainly
ManxandCapeTownJambo Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 he won’t be sacked anytime soon imo
ford donald Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 23 minutes ago, rudi must stay said: Wouldn't mind Paul Hartley or Barry Ferguson NO.
Cruyff Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 I'd take McInnes but I'd prefer a non-UK manager tbh.
