Who do you want as our next manager?

It’s not really though. When we lost against Aberdeen (and literally any loss during he tenure) this place was awash with the Naisy out brigade giving it the ‘happy clapper/if you want him to remain as manager you’re a moron…yada yada yada’ so it stands to reason that those ‘morons’ are going to give it back now he’s doing well. That being said it’s a tedious back and forth that has been going on since Robbie came back and as I said in the post above, these polarised attitudes are (imo) now so entrenched that they‘ve become more about individuals wanting to be proven right than they are about wanting the team to progress.

Agreed

I wanted him gone but at the moment he’s doing well and the Celtic result might have been exactly what he needed to really set himself up in the role.

At the moment I’m content however let’s not go backwards to earlier in the seasons performances

Its about winning games, implementing a style of football and showing meaningful development of players.

He's winning games and I think seeing Tait and Denholm get game time as academy graduates is a good sign. Obviously more of the season to go, but he's buying himself time absolutely.

I'm not happy with the style of play - as others have pointed out, we're not scoring a lot of goals and we were promised attacking football. Appreciate its going to take him time to get the squad how he wants it, but he's hardly working with a bad squad. I want to see us attack faster. most goals are scored from winning the ball up high and catching the other team in transition. I want to see us breaking faster and using our wingbacks better in supporting our wingers. IIRC Denholm broke through St Mirren with the ball but there was nobody around him to support him. I think there was another example of a similar thing where the attacker just ends up being crowded out because of the lack of support. Would be nice to see Naismith improve our attacking play - get more organised, less ponderous in posession and more direct - i.e not just passing it about the back for the sake of it/ moving the ball with purpose.

Our defence is looking much more solid, and as Halks gets up to speed I think we're going to have a defence teams are going to HATE playing against.

I think there is a measured improvement, absolutely room for improvement, but we're doing better. The Celtic result as you say, I think will be a defining moment for Naisy.

Agree with all of this.

Think he’s still trying to find his best 11, but he did say team selections & formations will be determined by the opposition, & that seems to be the way he is approaching each game.

Mistakes were our biggest issue during the first quarter of fixtures which cost us quite a few points, but there appears to be better organisation/understanding.

some very winnable games coming up starting tomorrow.

Best keep it open in case we don’t win tonight!  Or Saturday.  Or the game after that.  Or the game after that……😂

I really hope Naisy reads every single comment on this thread and uses all the negativity to fuel his passion and desire to shut up all the nay sayers.

The day he eventually leaves us then we’ll all be crying in our beers. He has the ability to be one of the best managers we’ve had in the last 50 years and after tonight’s pumping of the wee team we will eventually see the tide turning in his favour.

Good luck tonight Naisy!

I think he’s turned the corner and has the side playing reasonable stuff. We’re a pretty disciplined outfit just now.  The next couple of games will tell us a lot about him and the players.

I don't think he's turned the corner. There was no corner.

He's kept doing what he was doing, and many of us have backed him all the way. We still will back him even after a setback or two or three. Because we understand, that's football.

The people who are turning a corner, some very slowly, are the silly billy fans who ever doubted him.

Imagine they were around in the late 70s,their wee heads would be exploding every week.
