Good luck to the Big Man.

When he was fit, he was always a handful for opponents centre backs. Played some good football despite his service coming from Sloan, Hammil, Boyack et al

Hamstrings will be even tighter than guitar strings now:rolleyes:. Utd Physio will be doing 12 hour *shifts.;)

Still a good move by Levein, I reckon. It's only a 6-monther so, even if the big guy gets his own personal treatment table, Utd. won't have made too big a gamble. If he shows anything like the form he did for much of the time he was with us, he'll be a great asset to them and their ambitions this season.

(Hope he is injured on March 29th, however... ;) )

What age is he now? what age was he when he played for us?

He is 32 now and had just turned 27 when he signed for Hearts.

Sadly he would still be 1 of the 2 best strikers at Tynecastle such is our rankness.

Charlie-Brown

Cheers - he looks younger than he is - good / great player on his game - not always interested though and injured far too often.

People can say what they want but i guarantee this no centre half in the league will be thinking oh good De vries is playing today.

will score at least a goal every two games if he stays fit.

If Levein had got the Scotland job he'd of found a Scottish granny for him:p

Good luck to the big guy apart from when he plays against us.

Lack of imagination?

Who cares, if he scores goals thats what counts.

I'd take lack of imagination from our mob if it meant we'd have someone who bagged 1 goals every 2 games.
