He may not be a great manager (I don't even think he wants to be one at this time), but he's a good coach. I think i'd actually play him behind the striker in the Audrey role. The pace is gone for being a winger and we're covered in the middle of the park. Although i'd drop Stewart for his performance on Tuesday - unless he was still ill. It's great news that he can still play at all to be honest, I thought that might have been the end of it all for him after that last injury...well done Terry. He might not be as quick as he used to be, but put him in the middle instead of out wide and he can do as efficient a job as anyone else we have at our disposal. Maybe better actually, McCann can actually place a pass....hehe. Not to mention that he has the experience we're missing desperately, AND he's likely to get a bit vocal...we definitely need some of that. Good news. See his first game back at killie. He had their full back on toast. My matesand myself thought we'd got the real McCann back and were really excited about it. I have been very disappointed with McCann since he returned to Hearts mainly because he has played more withdrawn - left midfield instead of left wing and very deep in the centre. If we are insisting on persisting with the 4-4-1-1 formation we could do a lot worse than playing McCann in the hole, he should at least have the intelligence to play there, even if the pace and eye for goal have gone. I think the angle the story was taking was due to the swiftness of his return rather than the impact it'll have on the team.
