This is going to sound controversial as ****, but if sexuality is indeed something you have no control over, then I kind of get the point that paedos shouldn't automatically get branded sickos. The issue in sexual relations is always consent, and clearly kids aren't really able to consent, so sleeping with kids is absolutely wrong. 

 

But should we automatically jail, attack, condemn folk who admit this but don't act on it? If they can't control who or what they're sexually attracted to, it's not really their fault.

It surely can’t be long before people are suing one another for this stuff. 
Thete was actually a bit on the radio the other day about the growing number of cases of children freaking out when they got older and seen all the pictures and videos their parents had uploaded of them. 
Some had had stuff downloaded and used against them to tease and bully. 

Thank **** they weren’t around when I was growing up. 
Phones and social media have ruined the world.

It's a very reasonable point, but it's also a very emotional subject that people understandably struggle to be reasonable about.

My actual therapist has a different view about this . I spoke to him briefly about this forum and my “ participation “ on it . I mean “briefly “ as his time costs a few bob . Anyway he felt that I was getting too worked up and attaching too much importance to this forum and arguments and debates on it . I was seeking some form of “ validation “  , being “ noticed “ and yes maybe “ respected “

Now that’s the truth . Basically not to get worked up about things on this , as it adds another layer of  stress for me , and yes some of it is self inflicted . But in summary the forum is really irrelevant to my life . To maintain Better heathy mental well being it’s better that I limit my time on it .  I think he’s right .
