Interview with a player after the match is good as well.

Suspect we won’t be doing that if we lose a game 😂

Found it hard to hear him in the wheatfield stand - and others around me too said the same - couldn’t hear him say who scored the first goal

and also didn’t think there was any need to have crowd noises before the game kicked off

Nice touch interviewing the young lads at HT too. That said, I’m maybe slightly biased as he interviewed my lad ☺️

Thought he was ok. Liked the music behind announcing the Hearts team, pre match interview with Lockie. No issue hearing him in the main stand.

Did you not like the commentary of goals against Hibs?

In the wheatfield you couldn’t really make it out Anyway - and against Hibs I’d understand it but not v Ross county - but pointless

I didn't hear him all that well either but I know what Hearts players look like so I was  able to tell who scored by watching the game. Also in the Wheatfield.

been here before

Done what was necesary and didnt make it about himself. No cringeworthy 'bantz' with 'Lockie, eh big man' and no cringeworthy 'wherever you come from... lets make some noise' bullshit.

Vast improvement.

Thought the goals montage  thing was a bit odd, was looking for the big screens already. Not sure its something that really worked.

Bungalow Bill

No problem with the sound system in the main stand. Welcome the new match announcer, freshens things up a bit.

Thought he was clear and professional but didn't enjoy the goals montage. Sounded like somebody opening a packet of crisps.

Hungry hippo

Thought he was very professional and sound quality was perfect for me.

Also enjoyed the commentary montage which will be even better when they can show the classic goals once the new screens are installed.

A good solid debut.

Thought he was decent. Some good tunes.

Could hear him loud and clear. Main Stand speakers are obviously better 😉

No problem hearing in the main stand (PR). Quite the opposite, and I'm seriously considering ear plugs.

As well as easing off on the volume, that lad really needs to tweak his EQ. It was ear-piercing and his sibilance was shocking.

Also, nae need tae shout.

Tom Hardy’s Dug

I’m not into slagging folk that support and work for Hearts but the guy gave quite a big up to how they would announce the teams and that everyone should be in the stadium for it.

Was it just the players announced to music behind it?

This. Row 29 and sounded sort of muffled

He's good. I liked him at Hampden which is a tough gig trying to be neutral and interesting when most of the fans aren't interested. Didn’t realise then he is a Hearts fan.

Good energy.

The post match interviews could be a laugh.

Think they’re brilliant to be fair. Music is a bit more fast paced but I miss the let’s make some noise but I get they want to put their own stamp on it!

Hearts are rampant

The sort of job where you will never keep everyone happy, as the make up of the support (young, old, male, female, some going to game just after finishing work, some going for out after game etc) means you will never satisfy and cover music tastes to people’s liking.

Main jobs are announcing team line ups, goal scorers etc.

I liked Scott Wilson and though the new guy today did a decent job too.

I get the points re if certain speakers in stadium are too loud, no clear etc, but I wouldn’t say that’s down to the announcer, more the stadium/facilities needing fixed.

Volume and clarity of sound in main stand is no longer comfortable.  Not sure if speaker system has changed or if volume in general has been set too high.

I think once the screens are up we’ll get the sort of thing we get at Hampden.

Which stand were you in?  Cos if the Wheatfield it might just have been the shitey speakers and not that you need to get your ears tested.
