Section G wall of Wheatfield stand and wall of Main stand which links up with Gorgie - That’s where they were said to be going up!

Nah / that’s just an artist’s impression.

If we are getting sloppy seconds I want the real deal.

So what screens are we getting FFS??

Are you guys telling me we’re just getting Lenny Henry’s old TVs when he replaces them with his fee from this?

Bungalow Bill

I was on a tour of Tynecastle last Sunday and saw the scaffolding in the Wheatfield. There wasn’t any scaffolding up in the Main Stand though.

Lone Striker

Are they going to be attached to the inside wall of the stand  (like the Rudi pic above) .... or facing out into the pitch from the corner flags ?   Do we know for sure that VAR reviews will  be shown on them ?

They need more than one set of screens to cover multi venues, multi events.

VAR reviews aren't shown on screens in stadiums anyway.

Just the final decision.

The planning application on the council site maybe detailed more than it was meant to when the download went live, as it seemingly included commercial arrangements for the screens. Can't find the posts from it on the other thread so maybe got deleted.

From that doc, it says the size of them is:

15360 mm x 5760 mm (88.47 m2) – 24:9 Aspect Ratio

Yup, I am remember the document that was with the planning application (its no longer attached to it now) that broke down who we are getting from, the arrangement said it was two screens that were in the city (i.e. fan zone type area) rather than one at the stadium.

I suppose though, what other venue would have double screens.

Then the bowls e.g may be played on 2 rinks.

Could have two of the same screens from two different venues.

They'll be where they are in the image above. One in Main Stand at thr Gorgie end and one in Wheatfield stand at the Roseburn end. So wherever you are say you'll be able to see one.

VAR info will presumably be used but you don't see the same replays live for VAR decisions that you do on TV so don't expect to know anything before a decision is made unless a mate watching Texts you.

I've not checked the council website since I downloaded them at the time it went live, but there was a page detailing prices/sponsorship stuff when I think they just wanted to include the artist renders from that document. At the top it had:

Looking at this again, wonder why they aren't planning on having the Main Stand one shifted to the end of the stand like the Wheatfield is. Unless that part is just an artists impression quirk.

Sure the cost was 370k for the 2 including installation etc.

The screen purchase was c.40% discount on new.

Not sitting in high number seats towards the rear in section Z.

You wont see the full screen.

Definitely not these ones.

And nobody knows yet where ours are coming from. Will just need to watch and look out for particularly short/wide screens somewhere.

Hearts screen 88.5 M squared.

Hibs main screen 59 M squared.

Even if you add in the  smaller screen hibs have next to the big one at 15m squared ours are still bigger .

I don’t think they’ll have screens that size for the bowls to be honest.

Also, we have 2.

Do Hibs only have screens in the 1 corner? I assumed they had done the same as us and put them at either end of the pitch.

Fair point.

I half expected my father in law to walk out for Scotland there - he’s always up at the bowling club. He must be decent.
