I ove the music thiat the band puts out.

My question is, if they're putting out exclusively angry music, should they really be charging so much for a ticket?

They donate significant sums to charity.

They play free shows.

They're political activists.

It's not just music with them.

Also, as an aside, a Canadian radio station has been playing "Killing in the name of" on a loop for about four days straight as a protest against the new owners having fired most of the radio station staff.

Ach, I liked them till they sold out and went all Slade with that Christmas record.

I saw RATM live at Download 2010 and they've remained firmly in the top 5 best bands I've ever seen live.

They are absolutely ****ing brilliant.

Ticket price is going rate for big outdoor gigs.

Its on a par with the Green Day and I assume hampden gigs for other bands.

Guns N Roses charging way more and have a premium price gold circle.

I'd imagine Green Day was more given the number of bands, but there is a gold circle at Guns N Roses that costs over £130.

£64.

Bloody decent value considering we got 4 bands on the bill (Amyl & The Sniffers, Weezer, Fall Out Boy, Green Day).

Not bad.

£250 is the going rate if you want to get a decent view for the Who or the Stones nowadays...

Yeah, I thought it was superb value to be fair.

I can't get my head around some of these prices. I get that the Stones have been a top live draw for yonks, but it's not like any of them need the money. But the market sets the rate presumably so if folk willingly pay it, it's difficult to argue I guess.

If you are a die-hard fan, you've no choice really.

Great value for money couple of days ago.

Got my ticket to see Volbeat at the hydro for £48.

Special guests Skindred and support from Bad Wolves and Napalm Death.

Going to be a brilliant night.

Seen Maiden 11 times now. They keep getting older but the show never does.

I've been a part of that twice now already. Absolutely love Skindred. Benji is one of the best frontmen in the world right now as well for his on stage banter with the fans.

I saw them in London at the weekend and Axl Rose was clearly struggling.
