The Shanghai plan would've destroyed millions of lives in this country.

In what way?

By stopping us seeing our loved ones?....

By not allowing us to visit them in hospital?...

By limiting our free movement?...

By killing our economy?...

Seems like this government's inaction, reckless attitude and lack of vision did all of that anyway and while the bodies piled up...they partied

I hope he wins it by a narrow margin. That result would suit the SNP, Labour in the north of England and the Liberals in the south of England and hasten the departure of the Tories at the next election.

Hoping the Eton Mess leads the Tories to at least a decade of opposition

This kind of thinking used to be the thinking among American Democrats, and how great it would be if Trump won the nomination because he was so transparently a cruel, buffoonish con man that he'd get stomped.

Then he won and the whole GOP decided to start acting like him, and they still have substantial power in large parts of the country (in addition to their permanent obstruction in the Senate).

Not the same situation obviously but I'd say if you can get rid of the cartoonish tyrant, you want him gone anyway you can get him gone.

The rebels are saying they have 150 votes.

Boris about to speak to them.

Between 100 and 140 according to other sources.

It's a secret ballot so hopefully there are a fair few who are lying to him and telling them they've got his back, while keeping the blades well-hidden in their boots.

Yes. That's now a full 720 degrees. He should try skateboarding or ice skating by his ability to twist and turn.

Isn't it a wee bit strange just how much Nadine Dorries is attacking her colleague Jeremy Hunt on the very day the party are voting on Boris ?        A cynic might wonder if Boris's sexual penchant  for vacuous blonde bimbos extended further then we previously thought. :whistling:

I was assuming that clip of her giving it "what do you mean have I spoken with him?" was after she'd been under him all night, that was why she went all weird.

Douglas Ross is a wee gimp.

Yip.

Has just broke that he's voting against BJ.

The war was an issue but not now it seems. A decent side effect is his exposure as a weasel !

The appalling factor is that 90%+ of that litany of moral bankruptcy was known well before the GE. And despite that, millions were quite happy to elect this PoS.

What does that tell you about large swathes of the Tory-minded electorate?

I’ve got to say, I reluctantly agree with you. When I saw that graphic with BW way out ahead, I had to concede that he might well turn around this Junta’s fortunes. And I feel dirty saying that.

As Tories go, he appears to have a backbone, has a degree of intellect befitting the position of PM and most importantly, possesses a moral compass, But he will still deliver Tory policies of course.

Reports on Twitter that Theresa May turned up to vote in a black ball-gown.

It would be a nice way to stick two fingers up to BoJo.

(she's apparently on her way to some function).

So far today it's been :

"It's just the media... ".

"It's just the remainers... ".

"It's just people who want to be PM..".

We've had :

"If the PM goes,  we wont get the right sort of Brexit".

"Only Boris can deliver Brexit".

"Only Boris can get tackle the cost of living,  global inflation,  levelling up,  the migrant crisis,  the war in Ukraine and Brexit".

These people are deranged.

:gok:

Tom Tugendhat is by far the best option for the country but there's not a cat's chance in hell that the perverted cult can deliver a serious politician into post.

That's DRoss, David Mundell and John Lamont of the Scottish Tories confirmed as voting against BoJo.

Reuters say that 169 MPs publicly stated their support for BoJo by 8pm. That should mean the he will hit the 180 target relatively easily, but how much more will be telling.

I'll go for a 225 - 134 win for BoJo.

Boris will survive this and rightly so. He has got all the big stuff right. Delivered Brexit, Vaccine Scheme a massive success and has done the right thing by Ukraine. Who really cares if he had a few beers and birthday cake hardly the end of the world.

I'm guessing the newsreader fraternity just do this on purpose in order to get YT likes or something. It's far too common to be otherwise.

It’s Sophie Ridge, I doubt she needs the likes and viewing figures seeing she is at the top of Sky News.
