Heard ages ago that we are supposed to be playing a big English team at home in mid July for Lockes testimonial, but can't see anything being announced so it might bollocks

There was something said about that. Who we get is a different matter. He’s mentioned in interviews how he’s a big Man United fan but can’t see it being them. Especially as they’re fully booked from 12th July onwards, unless it’s a reserve team.

Hope it’s no ****ing Bradford.

It was Sunderland or Southampton that was mentioned. The guy that told me couldn't remember.

Can’t remember where the interview was, but he said something about being a big Man United fan. Or was at one point anyway.

I thought he would have been a Hearts supporter.

The previous years they have had a X1 at Linlithgow hope one is on this year. Last year when pandemic restrictions were lifted a first team select was sent out 500 tickets sold out was a good game. Best of luck to LRFC on sunday in the EoS league cup final against either whitehill walfare or tranent who play their semi final tonight.

I thought Lockes testimonial was to be some sort of cup winning legends select type game?

I assume it'll be like Robbie's testimonial.

Current Hearts XI vs Winners from 98, 06, 12.

He wasn't prepared to confirm anything other than the potential date, but I got the impression it would be at Tynecastle. Could be rubbish, but he's no reason to mislead me.

I was told there would be a proper game as we want to be well prepared for next season. Might be bollocks, just what I was told

Actually wouldn't mind playing Everton. If we're looking at loaning Simms again or anyone else, it would be good to demonstrate that we're a decent side that the laddies they send our way could benefit from playing for.

That’s poor from a fans perspective

1. we went there not that long ago (conquered & got the T shirt!)

2. midweek not great

I’d much rather see us play somewhere new
