Oh no. He was a fine actor with his own unique style.  LIke Nicolas Cage.  Unususal.

He was terrific in so many things " Goodfellows" and also as a nasty piece of work in " Hannibal" who got his just desserts...in fact he was the dessert. :) RIP

Goodfellas is probably my favourite film

RIP

One of mine too. Lorraine Bracco and her voice....! Even got me rather excited.  A really great film with that famous tracking shot too.

First saw him in what might have been his debut in Something Wild. Brilliant performance full of quiet menace.

Ray Liotta was terrific along with the others in Goodfellas. He, and they, made it the great film it was.  It’s always a bit more upsetting when hearing someone still not too old and highly thought of goes too early.

Im heavy into the American Mafia world and probably a bit biased, but Goodfellas is truly up there as one of the best films.

I suppose it was groundbreaking at the time in the way it was narrated throughout, a genius movie by Scorcese.

RIP

I'm maybe going against the grain here but bar his great performance in Goodfellas.....I didn't think he was that great an actor.

Still sad though.

RIP great actor. Believe there’s a film due later this year with him in it, gangster style.

Didn't realise he was 67, even though it's still not an old age to die. A dependable actor in everything I've seen him in, I always thought a film was worth watching if I saw his name in it.

Cannie mind any of his films other than goodfellas. Hope he has a nice afterlife.

Many Saints of Newark was recent. Prequel to the Sopranos. Ray played Dickie Moltisanti, Christopher’s dad.

Actually played two parts as Dickie had a twin brother.

Kind of my thoughts too. But that Goodfellas performance is exquisite and for that alone, cinema has lost a great.

He peaked too early in Goodfellas. Great performance in one of the greatest ever films.  Field of Dreams is another great film.  Never quite lived up to those heights afterwards but a sad loss.

So am I but got in a muddle.

An interesting revelation about Dickie in Many Saints but it's a spoiler so we'll keep it quiet !
