Our bus had  pub especially booked in the west end of glasgow, proper nice pub, charged 4 quid for a square sausage on a roll.

The gents consisted of two urinals and a cubicle, I needed a jobby so I went into the cubicle and gave it my all. The stench of my toley was so bad that i could hear urinal users coughing and gasping for breath, I even heard the comment "ffs who's in there?"

I waited for 10 minuites for the crowd to disperse, so that I could emerge unscathed, instead I was outed and publicly shamed.

Terrible weekend

🤣🤣🤣

To be fair there's always been a fair bit of rivalry between Edinburgh and Glasgow. You could hardly have two more different cities within 50 miles of each other than Edinburgh and Glasgow, but they're both great cities in their own way IMO.

As for Hampden, I think almost all of us can agree it's a disgrace of a stadium. Murrayfield should be the national stadium IMO. For a country of Scotland's size it's ridiculous having two national stadiums. Murrayfield is a much better stadium and also a far better location in terms of transport links and getting in and out of. Unfortunately there's very little chance of the SFA and SRU agreeing on one stadium in the foreseeable future.

I think the South Stand is fine with better seating/views They need to upgrade the rest of the ground at some point. It’s just the finding of that £100m that is the issue.

Shithole.  Full stop.  A couple of poky wee stations servicing 40k folk and 0% chance of a taxi.  45 min+ walk back into the centre through Basra, to then be queued like cattle onto a train whilst non-football fans are treated like royalty.

Seems an unnecessary and slightly xenophobic comment.

Nope, merely descriptive; poetic license, if you will.

Hope that to be the case but seems to have been used as a way of showcasing the negative aspects of the area. I believe the area in question is the most multicultural area in all of Scotland, which I think is a positive.

Anyway, not a debate I want to start on a Sunday afternoon.

Hampden is a total dump and the "upgrade" which was just a case of putting in plastic seats was a feckin joke. The SFA was reportedly cash-rich back then so feck knows what the money was squandered on.

Glasgow as a whole is a dump as well.

One thing though, I was once told that there's more fun at a Glasgow funeral than at an Edinburgh wedding. Having been to both I'd say that's true

By a weegie not doubt, Weegies are like Londoners, they will never tire of telling you how brilliant they are.

Because if you dont stand and you're in the front 12 rows you wouldn't see the game.

Ok, hadn't thought of that but how does that explain why poeple insist on standing at other away grounds where the sight lines are perfectly ok?

But the south stand is part of the problem in terms of the bowl design of the stadium. It would be almost impossible to rebuild three sides of the stadium and link it in to the south stand. And you'd be looking at a lot more than £100m.

Aye, so it's down to selfish twats who don't care about the people behind them who don't want to, or perhaps can't stand, for whole games, but are being forced to.

For all the cost overruns on the main stand at Tynecastle, we were very fortunate to get it done when we did IMO. If we were starting the project today I imagine we'd be looking at a much higher price.

I'm afraid we'll probably be stuck with Hampden for many years to come.

Personally, I wouldn't really want the national stadium being in Edinburgh. I mean, it should be really, but could you imagine thousands of those ****s and their green cousins descending on our fair toon on a yearly basis? No thanks.

Hampdump is aweful, the SFA are clearly skint. Advertising Xmas parties on Cup final day tells you all you need to know. A stadium announcer who thinks we're called "Hearts of Midlothian" shows the part of the barrel they hire from.

Shutting off ways in and ways out is bonkers, everytime you visit it's like the 1st an event has been staged there.

I enjoy the Glasgow experience though, the failing is Hampden every single time.

I don’t mind Hampden as a football ground, but I don’t tend to ever sit behind the goals. My issue with Hampden is getting away from it. It took over an hour to get out of the car park yesterday.

I go to all Scotland matches aswell as following Hearts everywhere, I have been going to Hampden Park since the late 60’s & I have always had a special attachment to it,so I agree Hampden is fine where it is (ok upgrade wouldn’t go a miss) - however the city does contain two horrendous bigoted institutions in Govan & Parkhead

I actually did a double-take when I saw that and had to remind myself that it is indeed only May. I mean I've seen Xmas parties being advertised in August before, but May?

Hampden is shite. Getting away from Hampden is shite. The police are exceptionally heavy handed. I can only assume the flare sniffer dogs were in operation at the Hearts end as well.

I've been to a few this season but now questioning whether it's worth it any more. It still doesn't help me to understand why people do it and it's a lot more than the young team too. I've tried asking people in front of me to please sit down but all that gets is a lot of abuse in return.

There are some arseholes in our support - yesterday I eventually had enough of the abusive arsehole screaming fenian and turned around and told to him to give it a rest.  He then called me a fat speccy fenian ******* - fat and speccy I could live with but I am an atheist and my maw and pa were married when they had me.

It took us longer getting out the carpark about an hour than the actual travel time to Gorgie, roughly 45 minutes. Ridiculous and not fit for purpose.

I had a father and son combo next to me who were both pretty steaming, they effed and jeffed from 1st minute to last then as if he couldn't keep it in any longer the father started up the racist bile which only inspired his son to let slip with one of his own the son kept looking at his phone and I couldn't help but notice he had a family pic as his screen saver I hope his kids are strong enough to break the chain.

I think collectively we all need to do more to rid our support of these fuds - if someone starts to call it out we should all back them up - let them know they are a disappearing minority.

Glasgow being the epicentre of Scottish football has been terrible for our domestic game.  I don't think either Hampden or Murrayfield are particularly good stadiums. Be far better building a single stadium that has world class facilities.

What history?

Its a shite stadium with crap facilities that is awkward as **** to get to, doe eyed nonsense about history doesn't change that and similar sized countries like Ireland have combined their football and rugby together to create state of the art facilities. We should follow suit. Rebuild Murrayfield and groundshare until done then move everything there. Doesn't the national team train at Riccarton anyway? It makes sense. Maintaining Hampden is backward thinking that is holding Scottish football back.

The only thing wrong with Murrayfield is the 100m running track - the rest of it is excellent.

I like Glasgow centre, it’s a great place for eating out , great for gigs etc - no problem whatsoever, however that stadium is just awful.
also, zero segregation going on in and coming out.  Bizarre policing

This is going to sound mental, and I don't know if anyone saw the incident, but I think a guy had his cock out at one point, and was sort of, I don't know, brandishing it at the Rangers end.

I was in the North stand right next to the gap before the Rangers supporters and at one point, a female police officer was absolutely raging at a boy a few rows in front of me. I'm reasonably sure at one point she said "Pull your pants up, you're embarrassing yourself now," or something like that.

FFS.  Cup Finals always make some folk lose their minds.
