Remember in 2012 we played Celtic away just before the final and got beat 5-0. Just in case same happens today and the doom mongers are out in force after the game.

We usually get beat 5-0 in Glasgow each season. It’s usually Celtic. This year it’s been Rangers.

Bizarrely despite being pummelled for large part of every game we’ve been within a goal of Celtic each time we played them.

I don’t know it that means we’ve had all our luck or if we are due a result.

I don’t think we’ll get much without our strongest team if I am being honest.

I get what you're saying and agree in part, but I hope we fare better than that as I'll be at the match!! I think RN wants us to be as competitive as possible, maintaining a winning mentality and trying to involve players who will start in the final. Let's see what team he puts out but I definitely don't want to see us get humped, particularly as we have been competitive against them this season. I am going to be optimistic and think we can win today, depending what team he plays.

Good on you mate. I’m not going but as usual my entire mood this weekend will still probably rely on the Hearts performance/result despite what I say.

I just don’t think we’ll get near their midfield with what we have available. Haring has been doing it in his own recently but won’t be able to today.

I see this game either way.

Its of them where I think celtic will be angered by their score last weekend, plus the sevco midweek result. Their scummy fans will want a response to that.

Robbie may see it as a game he just wants out the way, get on the coach, back along the road with no injuries.

Or... he may see it as. Go out there. Be competitive and prolong the title race. Keep Sevco in it for another game. Keeps them having to play at full pelt.

I do fear a skudding today, but football is very unpredictable.

If we win, I’ll be delighted. If we get beat, I’ll be raging. I can’t help myself. In reality this game is meaningless and it doesn’t matter how we set up to play against them, they’ll batter us for 60 minutes. I just hope we don’t pick up any injuries.

Not looking forward to this.

Me neither - if we’re not 3-0 down at half time that’ll be a bonus

We've been unlucky not to draw.

Celtic v us at least seem to chuck everything at us and we barley touch the the ball for the first hour.

However v them we've had the best of the latter part of the game.

Our problem v the of is ball retention, when we get he ball, we must keep it better.

We seem to panic for the first part of the game.

V Celtic a bit of decent defending, keeping our shape and luck has seen us not get blown away, however in these spells v them they've not really peppered our goal at any point.

The 0-1, I dread  to think what would have happened if that **** up at the back in the 1st few minutes had went in tho. 🤣🤣

We could do with that luck today or in the final.

We have no pressure, enjoy the game, the ball is our friend.

Shoot from range at that Hart as well.

Tommorrows result has no bearing on the cup.

None at all.

If we win it or get beat 5-0 it won't impact the final.

If we will it will give us a good platform to go on and beat The Rangers.

Robbie Neilson makes two changes from the side that drew with Ross County last week as the Jambos make the trip to Celtic Park this afternoon.

Stephen Kingsley returns to the starting line up along with Ellis Simms, while Gary Mackay-Steven and Ben Woodburn move to the bench.

Also named among the substitutes are John Souttar and Michael Smith.

Hearts line up as follows:

Gordon, Kingsley, Haring, Boyce, Atkinson, Moore, Cochrane, McKay, Simms, Sibbick, Ginnelly.

Subs: Stewart, Smith, Souttar, Woodburn, Mackay-Steven, Devlin, Thomas, Tait.

Was a Japanese player unavailable for comment? Just make a computer mock up, that looks like a young Sulu?

Is that Kyogo? Genuinely?!

It looks like they have used Konami's eFootball (Pro Evo) for Kyogo. :D

Nah, our chances in the final are in no way  affected by todays result or performance.

A win is always good tho.

This almost looks like our cup final side, apart from maybe devlin in for sibbick and souttar in for Moore.

A good run out today then a rest next week.

Be nice to keep our unbeaten run going.

We can't afford to be asleep as has been the case in a few games first 20 minutes.

Regardless that it affects nothing of note we need to start upping our game through there.

Our record is shit.

When Neilson first brought us up he managed to at least draw us closer.

He himself views the weej as the next step.

I'm really warming to Neilson big time.

Actually looks like a team being sent out to compete at 100%. Doesn’t look like a training excercise to me.

No injuries please. Anything else is fine.

What ever happens can we just all agree not to use it as why Robbie Nielson isn't the man to take us forward.

I meant in the sense that he's improving and growing into I hope a top class manager.

I was very critical of him last season.

Also think we come out a better team 2nd half and he identifies things better.

Mate I've watched  Hearts for 40 years so I wouldn't particularly say I was tough to please.

I posted this somewhere earlier...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-61347917

Man accused of throwing cup at Hearts' Barrie McKay appears in court

...that's nice. A man (singular) is accused of throwing a cup (singular) at McKay in THAT game against them earlier in the season. I watched that game and if my mind serves me right there were 100's of missiles launched at McKay with no protection from the stewards or that pr1ck madden. Yet another 'token' gesture.... which is actually still more than I expected. More top notch reporting from the GBC.

I hope we feckin scud them today!

I enjoyed the piece on Hickey.  What a life, living in Italy, playing football, money in the bank...and still not in your twenties.
