Touring a new album? Or greatest hits??

At the recent Barrowlands gig JB mentioned that he had written a few songs during lockdown and played one or two. But basically all the old hits

I’m not going to this but SLF were the first gig I went to. Edinburgh Odeon, May? 1981, the Go For It tour. The ticket cost £2:50. I was thirteen. Great band.

I'll always probably fondly remember them more for their first single Suspect Device, no doubt because of all those John Peel plays that got the band off the tarmac.

Wow - as an old fekker, whats the best place to get tickets - wander up to that shop in Rose St?

I haven't been to a concert since Adam Ant a few years ago, I dunno how to navigate all these online ticket places.

And now my missus wants to go see Green Day in Glasgow in June - how come they can command 70 quid a ticked compared to giants like SLF?

Green Day is an outdoor gig with about 4 bands - Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy possibly more.  The latter two would sell out places like the Barrowlands.

I'm going to Guns N Roses, which was also booked before the pandemic.

You can book online with Ticketmaster or even Tickets Scotland.  If you wander up to the shop you should be sure its not one of those gigs that will sell out in an hour online, which it might not be.

Cheers Frank, my missus has the bit between her teeth and is sorting it now she has the idea.

I honestly don't know whether to tell her Guns n roses or Ill be skint

Rammestein is in Cardiff the day after Green Day, tickets on Ticketmaster for 75 quid.  Now sweating to go in to work tomorrow to see if I can get the day off to travel down.

Green day tickets have went up from 75 to 120 in just a few days.

Not go into work, zoom and work online, though we are up to two days a week in there from this week.

Got tickets for The Damned at the Assembly Rooms next month.

Looks like the current line up not the original one doing the November tour.  I much prefer this lineup as they can play from their entire discography and not just the first two albums. Tickets for this are £32~ vs £75 for November.

Its not clear who the drummer is for this tour as Pinch left before the pandemic.
