Geoff Kilpatrick
Gordon - 7 - Made the two saves when needed Atkinson - 8 - MoM. Defensively solid and never wasted a pass. Linked up really well Cochrane - 6 - Defensively solid but his crossing was awful Sibbick - 7 - Solid display Haring - 8 - Did so much donkey work and broke up about 90% of their play Moore - 7 - Another comfortable display McKay - 7 - Not quite his day in terms of things coming off but still our most creative player Ginnelly - 4 - Awful. Wasteful everywhere Woodburn - 7 - Good game and probably the hardest he has worked in a maroon jersey Boyce - 4 - Blew it. Twice! Terrible game Mackay-Steven - 6 - A few nice passes and turns. OTT
I can't wait to see the back of Ginnelly tbh. Might be harsh, but I'm sick of his mincing about when he gets the ball in a dangerous area. He might have the skills to look good and tricky at 5's, but its not working at this level. His most dangerous attribute is his pace. Stop trying to to pull off some skill he saw in the Champions League the other night and start using the skill set he has - Kick and chase, he's faster than 90% of the players in the league so will get there before them more often than not. When he decides to stop dead to try and beat a player the chance is gone because invariably the other side have 5/6 folk back at least to defend. Also not convinced he's a winger. He's looked more dangerous as a striker running between defenders etc. Boyce and his god awful finishing is starting to become criminal. Failing to convert what should be straight forward chances will see the team punished. He's not a bad player, but we badly need to try and improve on him in the summer window. AGoodLaugh
Maybe I'm being overly negative but I wouldn't give a single outfielder on either team more than a 5. Neither team could retain possession, use it effectively when they had it, or capitalise on opposition errors. Gino gets a 3 or a 4 - wrong decision every single time. I'd have subbed him instead of Woodburn today.

Stuttgart 2000
Gordon 8 - different class as usual even the way he picks up his water bottle 😎 Atkinson 8 - solid, agree with MOTM really excited for what he will bring next season cochrane 7 - steady game sibbick 7 - bit more assured than previous games Haring 8 - solid from the big man, reads the game so well. moore 6- also steady but does give me the fear. mckay 7- drifted in and out today I thought but always wants the ball, will be massive for us next season. Ginnelly -3 so frustrating after last week. woodburn 6 - good shift, more required tho boyce 4- hopefully saving it for the final is all that can be said. MS 6 - agree not the worst but alway feel there’s more in the tank. subs Simms 5 - made a difference, please stay up Everton Halliday 5- grafted as always, good to see him back and get minutes under his belt. 19/05/2012
Gordon - 7 couple of decent saves Atkinson - 6 Played well and put plenty decent balls in but the strikers movement and finishing let him down. Sibbick - 5 Got away with it due to opposition but still gives me the fear Moore - 8 My MOTM today thought he was excellent Cochrane - 5 Steady GMS - 5 Quiet game but couple of decent passages Haring 7 - Usual Peter Haring won the ball back numerous times. Woodburn - 6 Thought he had a decent game but needs to stop losing the ball in dangerous ares as better teams will punish us. Ginelly - 2 Bit better second half but never looks interested to me McKay - 4 Prefer him on the left thought he went missing in central area. Boyce - 1 Worst on the park have no idea why he wasnt the first subbed off.
