Any pubs in particular?

Don't know the area but am reliably informed that these should be avoided:

Vogue Bar, Tims

Old Quarry Bar, staunch Hun

Harley's Sky Bar, rough af apparently

Otherwise you'll get Weatherspoons, old school boozers and even food.

Food? WTF is the world coming to when folk are thinking about food before a cup final?😀

We've booked an Italian restaurant pre-match but it’ll be 8 pints and a breadstick for me😜

I'm hearing the volunteers employed/associated within the club that are going through to Hampden on the Friday to place out the display are receiving 2 complimentary tickets.

Fair enough.

If they are prepared to give up their own time to help create a special occasion for our fans then Ithink they deserve some sort of recognition

WTF is wrong with people.

Hope any and all Rangers fans in the Hearts end on Saturday are on the end of a sore one, both from the scoreline and a wee bit of 'policing' from the PHM in their vicinity.

I don't see the point in sitting in the wrong end for games of this importance. You can't actually do anything other than sit on your hands - surely better off watching it in a pub with like minded folk.

The problem is, some won't sit on their hands.

That's the issue.

Has anyone walked from Queen Street train station to Hampden? I'm considering this, just wondering how long it will take and what the scenic value, atmosphere and the Glasgow banter is likely to be on route

Indeed. It's a) pointless unless you're looking for trouble and b) denying a more worthy, real supporter a ticket. Any Hearts fan who enables this kind of nonsense can GTF, too.

Aye, 2006. Never again. Went with my late father and brothers. Never again. Coming back was worse as we encountered every toothless neanderthal going. It took us longer due to having the wheelchair for my youngest brother (RIP).

I've had to do it a couple of times after gigs, should take about an hour. Other than the views over the Clyde it's not scenic in anyway

Scenic it ain't !
😂
If you want banter, jump into the Brazen Head !
Or, don't if you want to come out in one piece.
It's a fair trek. As a poster has said, an hour easy.
Not worth it.

Aye about an hour, there is a particularly nasty Celtic bar about halfway, can't remember the name of it but to be avoided.

Id say at a decent pace around an hour, don’t have your expectations too high for scenery as soon as you cross the Clyde it’s not pretty. However there’s a Celtic pub around half way with a giant tri colour flying on a flag pole. Might give you a wee giggle when you notice it’s actually an Italy flag (unless they’ve caught on)

What a nutjob! If he gets outed then she'll see an inevitable rammy with him having to leave.  My husband supports them but there isn't a chance in hell I'd get him a ticket for this.  Much more deserving people out there.
