My vote is bad! Loose understanding is that it puts Maribor, who I fancy as the stronger team, in our sights.

I think it's ominous we'll get one of the pot 4, you just know it

Looking very like there will be nothing ‘easy’ on offer anyway

Sheriff beat Real Madrid last year. Maribor aren't great as what they used to be in these qualifiers. Sure they've knocked Celtic and Hibs out in previous years.

Maribor vs HJK next. You have to fancy Maribor strongly there but they haven’t been great in Europe the last few years. In the fairly distant they have beaten Rangers and Celtic

Knocked Hibs out of the EL in 2010.

Knocked Rangers out of the EL in 2011.

Knocked Celtic out of the CL in 2014.

Knocked Aberdeen out of the EL in 2016.

Probably our turn right enough.

Sheriff a fairly decent side, and also a trip to Moldova (and not just Moldova - the unrecognised breakaway part of Moldova) wouldn't have been ideal.  So a good result for us there I'd say.

Pyunik now winning on agg. Not long to go so that would put Dudelange in the next relevant round for us

Don't fancy that Luxembourg mob. They play at a 2K seater stadium so wouldn't get much of an allocation for that.

You’d expect Malmo or Zalgiris to dispose of them

Shamrock have pulled one back. Dudelange have dropped to Europa but we need to wait until tomorrow for the loser of Zalgiris/Malmo to confirm that tie.

They played tonights match at their own stadium so i'm not sure i'd hope so if we did draw them.

That's right, their fans are mental; very partisan, you might say 😄

I mind the time we were in Zagreb, Partisan were playing Toulouse and one of their fans, Brice Taton, got thrown down a stairwell to his death.

Yes, but humped 3-0 last week

81' now. Not looking likely.

Would be an outstanding draw for us TBH. EDIT can't remember if that's the right "path." Ah well.

Shamrock are heading for the Europa, so yes heading our way. They'll play Shkupi in the Third Round of Europa League.

So 3 confirmed possibles so far.

HJK Helsinki/Maribor

AEK Larnaca/Partizan

*Shamrock Rovers/Shkupi

* Both games still live but its pretty certain both are heading out of the Champions League qualifiers

All done. Not a bad night for us. No huge surprises really

Could have been worse had Shamrock and Shkupi both managed to win as that would have meant Ludogorets or Dinamo Zagreb would be in our draw.

Tougher looking pairings tomorrow night. Ferencvaros you would want to win and Bodo should win. The other 4 ties have good teams in them. Not much difference for us who goes through really.

Can anyone sum up tonights results and what they mean for us?

We are now at a stage where the matches for the UEFA Europa League Third Qualifying Round are being confirmed due to the ongoing progression of the UEFA Champions League Second Qualifying Round.

Tonights results

AEK Larnaca 1-1 Midtjylland (2-2) (3-4 on pens)

Plzen 5-0 HJK Helsinki (7-1)

Dudelange 1-4 Pyunik (2-4)

Sheriff Tiraspol 1-0 Maribor (1-0)

Shkupi 0-1 Dinamo Zagreb (2-3)

Shamrock R 2-1 Ludogorets Razgrad (2-4)

Teams in bold have progressed to the UEFA Champions League Third Qualifying Round and are no longer possible opponents for ourselves.

The draw for the Europa League is therefore taking shape, Hearts will play the winner of one of the ties below.

Loser of Zalgiris/Malmo v Dudelange

Shamrock Rovers v Shkupi

Maribor v HJK Helsinki

Loser of Bodo Glimt/Linfield v Loser of Zurich/Qarabag

Loser of  Maccabi Haifa/Olympiacos v Loser of Ferencvaros/Slovan Bratislava

League Path

AEK Larnaca v Partizan

Loser of Dynamo Kyiv/Fenerbahce v Slovacko

Was a toss of a coin between Dudelange and Pyunik plus Maribor and Sheriff. Few more tight ones tomorrow but least we'll know the full line up of the draw tomorrow night.

Is that all our possible opponents? Out of that i selfishly would love to get Zurich or Olympiakos as will be traveling in Switzerland/Greece around the time anyway.

Last team i want is Olympiakos or Fenerbahce for that matter as they aren’t exactly renowned for sharing a quiet beer with away fans.

just back from Cyprus that would do.

Yes. But another 6 teams will be eliminated from that list tonight.

Do Hearts find out before the next round the either or opponent or is the draw after it??

Our draw is on Tuesday before the 3rd round games are played so we'll only get a Hearts vs X or Y draw unfortunately.
