The first game it's absolutely pishing it down will be fun with nowhere to move to for those in the front rows 🤣

It's not but it's the Hibs game(s) they don't pay for. If Hibs are bottom six it's a very good deal.

If is a very small word with a big meaning

On the subject of "If" ... (you'll catch my drift 😁)

If you can keep your head when all about you
   Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
   But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
   Or, being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don’t give way to hating,
   And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
   If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
   And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
   Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
   And stoop and build ’em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
   And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
   And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
   To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
   Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on”;

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
   Or walk with kings—nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
   If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run—
   Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Incredible going on etickets and seeing only a couple of wee rows left out of three and a half stands. Wow.

Two things that are needed due sales being as good is arrangements to give all away fans 1 section (including rangers and celtic, excluding hibs). There is going to be a mad rush for matchday tickets each game, and we can’t go accommodating away fans with 2 sections when most teams won’t come close to filling them whilst locking out Hearts fans. Hopefully the segregation arrangements are already in place or being looked at if not.

And secondly the club need to actively encourage fans to release their seat if they can’t make it. For me a financial/voucher incentive isn’t needed, releasing my seat allows another jambo to go and gets the club another £25 odd quid, but potentially a voucher of some sort may encourage most.

account cashback option suggests they're setting something up to allow ST to be resold for games you can't attend

I'm the same as you, I've often emailed to release my ticket (as I'm in London) - and happy that someone gets to go and the club make more money.

But it would be great to cater for everyone's circumstances and have options, e.g., you could get 90% credit (towards next year's ST?), 50% or Zero%.

ive often said the same in the past. 500 tickets might not be used for each game. If they could be sold at an average of £20 a pop, suddenly you have an additional £10k a game. That’s an extra £200k a year at least!

It's a great idea - I've just bought my 1st ST in about 20 years as I'm near London, but exciting to head back to Tynie several times a year.   I'd be delighted if the 2 ST's I've bought are sold by the club when I can't make it.    I'm sure you're right and a few hundred for whatever reason won't attend most games....

They are in serious shit! Even in the latter Vlad days we had decent support.

They'll have 10/11k season ticket holders, likely the 4th most in the league and be the 4th best supported team in the country.

Still decent.

We will out sell them, but the fact hibs can't shift  as much as us is more to do with the optimism and performance of Hearts as opposed to hibs not being able to shift 15k season tickets.

They'll be down on numbers but still have the 4th best support, behind us.

In terms of Scotland, they're still well ahead of most other clubs.

They'll have  decent crowds, we'll have  good ones!

However, Everyone will look like bald men fighting over a comb compared to the OF.

There I was delighted to renew my ST in early May, when "she who must be obeyed" announced that we would be visiting family (The Boy) out in the Antipodes from Mid December through to end of March. The fixture list release will mean I can attend 8 home games and miss out on 8 home games (not including European, Scottish Cup games)

I for one would certainly be interested in supporting some scheme which would utilise my ST to the max.

Could even give a small incentive for folk to put their unused seat up, say  £1/£2 /£5 of next years St.

Still be £100-£150k a year on your numbers, which I reckon are low.

Quite a few can't go to every game.

I'm already missing the Edinburgh Derby on the 2nd Jan.

Definitely worth partnering up with someone for a financial incentive that means the ST holder doesn't lose out completely, Hearts make some additional income and we're able to have a number of walk up fans we wouldn't have had instead of empty seats.

I've always emailed the club and had no problems releasing my seat for games I couldn't make but I don't know how well it is known that they let you do this and it's not really the best system.

You'd think that the club would now be actively pursuing some kind of incentivisation scheme for freeing up unused season tickets. Previously, it wasn't such of a big deal. There were almost always free seats to be bought and a Hearts fan who wanted one but couldn't get one was very much the exception. This season it will be a weekly occurrence.

The club will make more money with freed up seats and there will be more buying options for Hearts fans who can't make it every week. Win win, really.

If HMFC played their games in say a 40k capacity stadium how many season tickets would they sell?

Right now?

Dunno, maybe 18k.

3 or 4 years of this success, maybe 22-25k.

Drop to 5th or 6th place this season, back to 13k give or take 1k.

Unsure of your point  in this made up scenerio?

Mainly addressed to those who were "suggesting" that we may have to move to a "bigger" or more accommodating stadium based in the excellent response to ST sales. Perhaps just deal with "reducing" visiting supporters to one section of the Roseburn including OF and Hibs. After all OF have treated us abysmally over the years. I think we have subsidised Hibs for too long

Ya numptie!!! What were you thinking? Surely you knew that you'd miss a derby. Och, never mind. As things are going you could auction yer ST for that game to the highest bidder with proceeds going to Big Hearts. 👍

Typically over 1000 season tickets not used every home game.

21 left. Think its safe to say that if half of K was going to open up for season tickets it would have by now so this will be it.

I just pulled the trigger on a ST in the Roseburn. I wasn't going to buy one this season because of difficulties getting to games, because of family and other commitments, was hoping to get as many walk ups as I could manage, but that was looking an impossibility now. Also Sunday matches are very difficult for me, especially with Sunday transport and the likelyhood of on going industrial action. But I want to see my team, and it's not a huge price in the scheme of things, so I went for it. I'm pleased, 'Mon The Hearts.

ah right - I should point out the M90 gets in at 11am - plenty time to see some cultural sights, as I tell my wife, or to down a few pints at Stratties (the reality). Bus goes back at 6pm so pretty perfect apart from the chance of falling asleep and waking up at Pitlochry......
