👏

The arm being put into position and the control unit before the iconic breathing - tremendous.

Same bloke who played Uncle Owen in Attack of the Clones. I love how committed they are to getting the same actors back.

The prequels are only three films. You can see them all on Disney+

Ewan McDonald played Kenobi in the prequels and he reprises his role in this new show.

I’m sure there must be a list which has all the films and tv shows in chronological order ?

Wow !

And that's not including the two Ewok movies from the 80s 😁

Actually that list (which came on a Disney email) must be including the Clone Wars movie in with the tv show.

Haha they try and keep it hidden apart from the Boba Fett cartoon in it as obviously he became a huge fan favourite.

If there was any doubt as to how much drugs was done in the 1970s, the Star Wars Holiday Special is a prime example.

Well i was half stoned when I first saw it and literally couldn’t believe what I was watching 😂 ( at a friends house 🏡 they had seen it and took great delight in introducing it to unsuspected new viewers ) 😂

I've enjoyed The Mandalorian and Bobba Fett so looking forward to this. I like the look of them and the references to the first films.

Mandalorian was top class, and Boba Fett was excellent once it got going. 👍

The Phantom Menace was pretty pish, james. Give Rogue One a go. Ben Mendelsohn plays a cracking baddie.

Most of the references are from the older films as they're set just after.

Just went to watch the 1st episode.
Ended up watching both.
Very good so far and continuing to look very cinematic and not like a TV series.

What a start! I think the most exciting thing is that everything we saw in the trailers has already happened so we have no idea where the next episodes will take us!

Editing is shoddy.

Ewan doesn't look old enough.

Wee lassie is far too young.

Nowhere near the standard that The Mandalorian has set.

A shaky start.

I rewatched " Attack of the clones" and " Revenge of the sith"

Clones average but really enjoyed Sith again.  Only good thing about Clones was the light saber pagger between the wee man and Mr Lee.  Brilliant. What a great career that man had.

Disappointed he was only briefly in " sith" but thoroughly enjoyed it. Damn it got exciting towards the end revealing the evolution of Darth Vader. ( he really was just  a misunderstood pussycat) .  Hayden C was dull in the the Clones but was a def improvement in "Sith" and really captured Darth going to the dark side. Iain McDiarmid was excellent too.  Natalie Portman was wasted as shes usually such a fine actress.

Were C3PO and R2D2 a couple ?  Seemed like it with their bitchy bickering. :)

If you watched episode 1 to 3 first, it would put you off Stars Wars for life. Utter tripe. Especially McGregor and this thing is even worse.

That clearly depends on how old you were when you saw them.

Those of us who saw the original films first obviously prefer them. I know when I first saw the prequels, in my mid 20s, I hated them and whilst they'll never match the originals they have grown on me a lot over the years. However, a lot of the younger generation prefer the prequels, as that's what they grew up with.

Personally I loved the first two episodes of Kenobi.

I agree with Cade about the lassie looking very young. The actress is only 9 I think, but she looked even younger imo. Thought she did a good job but hope the show isn't taken up too much with her.

Like i said Sith really gathers pace towards the end of the film. Its excellent  i feel. Very unfairly maligned. Your right it depends on when one first saw the originals i feel .  Nostalgia aint what it used to be as they say.

I thought it was a fairly good start with better to come. The wee girl is never 10!

Leia's actress is currently 9 and is playing a 10-year-old.

She was born in June 2012 and filming was april/may last year, making her only 8 at the time of filming.

But she looks, sounds and acts like a 6-year-old.

The difference between 8 and 10 is significant.

A terrible bit of miscasting, in my opinion.

And the less said about the perma-raging gymnastic parkour more-evil-than-thou inquisitor the better
