He has great potential and has Championship clubs interested. Everton have money issues. Tbf, it may be the only way to avoid big upfront fees If Simms does well for us and we get £5m for him it will have been a brilliant deal. Rather that than he ends up in the championship for the sake of 3 or 4 months foh contributions or because we pissed Everton off with the future % fee. I'd fancy our chances if we had some kind of fee/loan deal agreed against a lot of clubs in that league. They’ve already started clearing out players (admittedly the really high earners) but if they don’t see Simms being part of their plans, maybe a decent offer might tempt them.
