Kent cost £12 million and Morelos is apparently worth the same so not sure of the expectations of a defence without 3 first picks. We don't have to play either of the uglies again presplit so let's move on and concentrate on third and the cup. Someone talking about the 98 team who lost all 4 league games against Rangers that season. Just a bad day at the office and nobody's fault they played so well today.

I like him but I've been surprised at some of the comments praising his performance v the vermin. 

He's very raw and prone to terrible decision making and defensive errors.

There's a lot to be positive about though. He'll get better.

A nuanced post. Fair and accurate but people have to have their pound of flesh after a bad defeat. 

Back the team. A horsing from a team that should horse everyone outside Celtic will not define our season. If anything, it will refocus the players as to how tough this league can be and eradicate some complacency.

He’s got a lot to learn, but I don’t think he was signed with the intention of throwing him straight in, Smith’s injury has forced this.

 

I think he gets caught in possession too much because he has no outlet, the central midfield offer no support.

I'm not sure what people were really expecting from a 22 year old that's just off the plane from Australia.  He hadn't played in 6 weeks before being thrown into a team that played 5 games in 2 weeks against either side of the OF, away to Hibs and against the team immediately below us in the league.

 

The guy will still be adjusting to a new team, tactics, country, the 20 degree difference in temperature and new position (his games at Melbourne were all at RB not RWB).

 

We've got 9 games between now and the split that we should be winning the majority of, maybe give the guy a bit longer to get up and running ffs.

This is what I'd do too. Prefer Smith in a more central role, reads the game well. Moore did look particularly slow on Sunday

Not sure what has happened to Moore, he looked so comfortable in his first few matches and distribution was great. Now though, he looks shot of all confidence and is over playing and getting caught.  Smith has always been very good in the centre and I prefer him there to full back.

As it’s been said he is a bit raw and will need good coaching on the defensive side of the game, good quality crossing though and had one of our few half chances yesterday.

So far he has only played the 4 teams around us in the league, will be good to see how he gets on against Dundee on wed as i think he will be able to show us more of what he is good at and what he's been brought in to do.

He's struggling with the pace and intensity and is prone to dive a bit too often for my liking.  But he's got attacking instincts which I have doubt Neilson will soon get rid of.

 

But he looks a decent signing - next season we should be able to judge him properly.

i will be next season we see the best of him imo

making a few mistakes but love his attacking attitude and it's what we need

to be honest he looks more like a winger than a full/wing back and maybe we

should be playing him in a wide mid attacking role and leave the defending to a man behind him

as he's not the biggest unit

i like the lad, certainly 110% effort from him, cant be easy being so far from home, can play a bit football as well,

lost his way a bit against rangers but its all about learning, hoping to see more of him.

I think the lad needs a bit of work in the gym. He seems lighweight defensively but better in an attacking sense.

He's only 22 and has still a lot of development in him physically and tactically. What I like most about him is that he is a genuine athlete and has pace.

I don't disagree with that and hopefully he can develop physically as well as defensively and be a better asset to the team.

 

I think he will be helped by us strengthening our midfield and defence hopefully in the summer although Souttar is a big loss.

I dont get to many games due to where i live, was there on saturday, atkinson did fine in my opinion,  he didn't have any support down the right side of the park so it was a hard for him. He likes to take ball inside more than getting a cross in, will definitely get better as he settles

Every game I have seen him he manages to attack the box from the right and along the byeline, he usually gets a good cross or shot in too and should have won us a penalty on Saturday.

so what?, I ate in the one here in Dubai last week. Its just a fancy steak restaurant with a few crazy gimmick items in menu. A normal steak chips meal in there will be no more than going to the Caley or Balmoral.
