Says Morgan, who is stalking me across various threads for reasons known only to him. You're a great poster though and clearly a lovely chap too.

In March, @Des Lynam resurrected a thread from January just because Barça finally managed to win another Clásico after so, so long. I just thought I'd remind him of that last night when the Blaugranas got their arses handed to them as the Xavi bubble burst in the most hilarious way.

Well, if you're going to start taking it personally, it's obviously time for a clean break, John.

However great a poster I am (thanks for the compliment by the way), I'm miles from achieving the dizzy heights reached by your very good self.

Talking of lovely chaps...

Oh, forget it, jealousy will only eat away at me.

I bid you a fond farewell.

I didn't think you'd give up so easily Morgan. However,  that doesn't take away from how much I rate you personally not just as a poster but as man.

You're a great, great bloke.

That was their first clásico win since March 2019. 5 defeats and 1 draw in that time. That's more than two games Des, by any stretch of the imagination, in anyone's cup or tea.

Cadiz certainly had Barça on strings tonight John boy, what s result.

Since the clásico, Madrid have won three league games in a row and reached the semis of the Champions League. Barça have crashed out the Europa League and just lost at home to Cadiz tonight so they're back to 15 points behind the league leaders and champions elect, Real Madrid.

There was something very Hibs about the way Barça celebrated the 0-4 in the clásico, it was only 3 points after all. I'm sure Los Blancos won't worry too much about it when they're lifting the league trophy in a couple of weeks. Looks like they'll clinch it away at Atlético, ooft!

Good for them

Sorry to disappoint but I don't have any allegiance to any Spanish team.

To me Real Madrid and Barcelona are the Spanish equivalent of the two ugly beasts in Glasgow.

Maybe this isn't the thread for you then Big Man. Plenty of threads that make no mention of either Real Madrid or Barcelona.

God bless.

Two poor teams whose best days are behind them, awful game with no tempo but just a friendly in reality. Teams like Liverpool/Chelsea/PSG/City/Bayern would rip either of them apart.

Not sure about Real Madrid. The debt is to do with the stadium redevelopment which will pay for itself in the near future. We're talking big bucks, serious cash... I mean millions and squillions.

Hearts and Scotland are who I love. A bit weird to support a team from another country, if you're older than 12.
