I think he genuinely is. That was some lump his knee took out the pitch.

Yep seems to have, I was certain it was just the embarrassment of Hibsing it!  In true Hibs goalkeeping style!

Algeria were outdone.   They've been mostly mince before and now.   Next up for them in a must win match is Ivory Coast.  Mahrez, get yer coat.

I’ll be amazed if they have any fit players. Pretty much every player in the team suffered at least one horrendous career ending injury during the match.

Oh wow, that’s goalkeeping like you expect in the women’s football!  Keeper pretending he’s injured now!🤣🤣

Malawi/Senegal might be a good watch.

Both teams will be desperate to win.

Both could top the group if the other game between Guinea and Zimbabwe results in dropped points for Guinea.

Then in the evening games, Gabon/Morocco go for a group winning decider.

Probably both be 1-1 draws.

The Cape Verde equaliser was quality.  Cameroon already through, and a point might be enough to see Cape Verde through to the knockout stages as one of the best 3rd placed teams.

I'll probably just flick between the games tonight, and will probably manage to miss every single goal

All two of them?

Before tonight every 3rd place team can get 4 points.

So not enough to qualify necessarily.

As it stands though one group doesn't unless Ghana turn it about.

Ghana are doing a cracking job, getting a man sent off and going 2-1 down to Comoros!

Gabon and Morocco just need a draw against each other to go through. Wonder how that one will finish.

2-2. Shocked so I am.

Morocco 74' pen

Gabon 81' OG
Morocco 84' Direct free kick

TBH I never even bothered with today's two games.

Nigeria and Egypt were never in any danger of not finishing 1 and 2 in the group, and that's exactly what happened.

This is where I'm at, I'll pick it back up tomorrow. Nothing about the games today really appealed to me, especially with the group positions effectively sealed.

Ivory Coast v Algeria could be a good one tomorrow, Algeria need a win to avoid going home in disgrace.

Sierra Leone and Equatorial Guinea could do with 3 points each depending on the result in the other game.

Seirra Leone get a 85th minute penalty to equalise against Equitorial Guinea, and finish 2nd in the group...

Saved!

EG should have scored twice more in the last 5 minutes since the penalty, and are far too calm in the box.  They need a second to bury this.

Red card for Sierra Leone. Wiped out a player on the break, already on a yellow, red played advantage but brought it back.

You have to think that's it over, 3 minutes added.

Penalty to Equitorial Guinea, 94th minute.  Sierra Leone defender just couldn't be arsed chasing it any more.

They're VARing it.... Giving the free kick instead.  Or are they?

Wtf?

Sierra Leone only have 6 players back, think they've just given up.

Free kick not even taken as a shot on goal in the 96th minute

Gambia/Tunisia the pick of the late matches.

Group as it stands is:

Gambia 4 points

Mali 4 points

Tunisia 3 points

Mauritania 0 points

With Mali fully expected to win tonight and end on 7 points, Gambia and Tunisia will both be desperate to win.

Tunisia lose 1-0 to Gambia, knocked down to third.   Still qualify but

Stunned...

Peach of a goal as well!   Injury time.

Comoros and Cape Verde will be looking forward to those games

After doing so well to get to the Last 16, that will likely be it for them this tournament.

Senegal have been shite though, so there's a chance, but I don't see anything other than Cameroon winning the whole thing.
