It isn’t really Christmas until you hear “Merry Xmas Ev’rybody” by Slade on the wireless.

Wizzard surely?

Walking through the Grange this morning and I was shaking with rage when I saw some Christmas wreaths up on a few doors. Strongly worded letter to the Residents' Association will be penned this evening!

I think there was a town in Holland a few years ago which banned (as much as it could) anything related to Christmas (music in shops, decorations, etc) until December. May move there...

There's a house near mine with its lights up & everything. Makes me furious 😡 I can't post a pic, I'm up here for 2 funerals & I also get an upload error.

Where's the mods for this blasphemy?

Dave was right though, Christian churches stole Xmas because Pagans were having a good time. Said churches admit they have no idea when Jesus was actually born.

Bunch of bloody Scrooges on here. The more decorations the better.

That reminds me, I'll need to look out my "Santa is a Jambo" hat :santa2:

You’ll find it in your “thomas the tank engine” drawer.

I was only kidding. The holy Roman catholic christianity, started with emperor constantine has a lot to do with the butchering of the original christianity of the gnostics. So i've been told.😉 Anyway Christmas cheer to all who partake.

Can a mythical being be born? There may have been a nice guy doing good things at the time, but the son of God?

While we are being annoyed Plaza always annoys me a bit. Square or Place. Would also like a better sign for it than the cheap cardboard looking one that must have added 20 quid to the new stand cost.

Can't wait for the annual debate over Fairytale of New York.

Why wait. The best Christmas song (at least pop song) by miles.

Watched 'Sucession' on catch up over the last two weeks and heard it called 'Scottish kickieball' just before the guy bought Heart of Midlothian FC.

That was a funny episode.  Listening to people talk about Hearts on an American drama series.

Nope. 'I believe in Father Christmas' by Greg Lake. By far and away the best Xmas song. Just the right amount of cynicism and bitterness to take the edge off all the saccharine falseness....

Perth to Paisley

All this fake rage about x(christ)mas and trees going up in November.

I'm still raging about an earlier poster talking about Holland...its the fluffing Netherlands.

Priorities!!

is Holland not a region of the Netherlands? (actual question)

don't stop the cavalry by Jonah louis is the best (non) Christmas song.

12 days before and 12 days after, not religious but if you are going to celebrate Christmas you may as well do it right.

all for the lights etc going up when the clocks go back to brighten the place up, but not part of an early Christmas thing, seems like people are doing things earlier and earlier!

I enjoy this time of year, but too much of a good thing (apart from hearts winning) etc....

The White Cockade

Is it time for Christmas Wrapping by the Waitresses?

It's a favourite of mine

as well as the Greg Lake one and Solstice Bells by Jethro Tull

We have Thanksgiving tomorrow and already neighbors have Christmas lights up. Can’t we just do one holiday at a time?
Dec 21st is more than enough time to get into the Christmas spirit.

FTFY!

Holland is part of The Netherlands. If the town is in that part, the earlier poster was fine!

Indeed. It is a bit like getting outraged because someone says Scotland instead of the UK.
