Janey Godley did get canceled though 🤷‍♂️

Not ostracized by society though as she said she was so sorry and was contemplating suicide. Still welcomed in the Scottish Mafia of course, Sturgeon was quiet with that one.

I think she did mention it and until her announcement yesterday I hadn’t heard from her since the incident.

I wish someone would cancel you.

That last sentence sounds like there is more to come out.

Seems like you were right as tonight it’s coming out about him texting some 16 year girl

This is beginning to backfire spectacularly on Rafiq if true

It'll upset the virtue signallers who thought he was a Saint

Vaughan dropped by The BBC.

Doesn't appear to be any evidence to either a) support Rafiq's accusation or b) support Vaughan's denial.

It wouldn't surprise me if he did say it

Does he have history of saying these things?

I think it fits with his sense of humour, I don't think it was intended as racist rather than a joke based on race, thinking both sides were happy to share that type of joke.

Nor I. But that's not the point here. 'Cancelling' someone based on unsubstantiated accusations is poor form.

Others have said they heard him say it, I am surprised he was sacked for it

One other said he had no recollection of him saying it, so it was actually three against two.

I note he doesn’t remember saying it, rather than deny he would ever have said anything like it. His apology was half arsed too. Im

not suggesting he is racist but he is sense of humour is certainly on the edge.

I doubt if there are many people before the current woke generation who could deny they had ever made what today would be considered a racist comment.

I think those who could with certainty would be in a minority.

Times change, Sir Geoffrey Boycott was found guilty of domestic assault but went on to enjoy a long career in the media and be honoured by cricket and indeed the Queen.

Another way of looking at what Vaughan said (if indeed he did) would be to assume he was having a go at the white Yorkshire apprentices who might not have been as driven or as hungry with regards to their development as the young Asian players.
