Just looking for jeans today and they all seem to be tight or skinny ones !  Crap materials too . I’ve got one pair of skinny jeans which I love as they are a great soft fabric .

if no to skinny what age should it be compulsory to stop wearing them ?

Ive said for years that women now decide what men wear. The slow march toward feminisation has been on the go since the late 90's IMO.

Skinny jeans and slip on shoes with no socks....giez peace!

On a sort-of related note, I've noticed recently that a lot of girls / women seem to be wearing looser-fitting jeans. A disappointing development*...

I've got white trainers Jeffros but wouldn't dream of wearing skinny jeans.  Hopefully that is enough to evade the firing squad 😮

Well I bought  a nice black pair of jeans. Not worn black jeans in years.. Actually dont think ive ever had a black pair. They are " stretch /slim" so not skinny jeans but not bell bottoms  either.  Great material too. £30 from " Next" so no bad price. "Boot" cut design are great too.

In my defence I haver had them a few years. They are on their last legs, hence the jeans shop today. I cant part with them. :)

A good pair of 501s is the answer, James.

They have stood the test of time.

I know they last forever but the material is far too thick. Feel like im wearing a carpet.

I tried a pair of Wranglers on as the shop didn’t have my size of 501s in stock. Awful, the cut felt like the type of thing American pensioners wear.

Not lost mine completely but keeping it short hides my strawberry ginger hair colour.   People always called it strawberry blonde when I was younger but how come you never see that colour of hair dye?

Patronising bassas...

Nowt wrong with ginger hair. It gets bad press. My hair was brown/auburn /nearly ginger when i was a child then it changed through the years to boring brown and now its a " blonde"  : )  yeah never seen strawberry blonde hair dye

Its not that the women buy the clobber. Its how they advise their menfolk to dress and moreover…they comply.

Got my first pair aged 16.  Over 50 years later, still wearing them . . .  not the same pair obviously.

Francis Albert

A decade on women and men are still wearing jeans with the knees cut out. Sometimes DIY jobs. And in the case of women at least sometimes thighs and even shins. Possibly the most bizarre fashion ever.

It's a fallacy and against the trades description act imo. When I put jeans on they do not ever make me look skinny.

That’s true . Same with any clothes. They look great on mannequins etc but then trying them On ! 😂 and I hate changing rooms cubicles with the mirrors everywhere so you get 380 degrees views of your body ! 👀 not the most flattering and the lighting is bright too , blinding

My wife often complains about these things and she's an 8 which makes you wonder why they do it if it makes people feel they look fat or whatever.

Yeah does make you wonder ! I don’t want it dark like a nightclub 😂 but the lighting is awful jarring !

I mostly wear ‘spray on’ skinny jeans or normal skinny jeans. I’m a slim build and have skinny legs so wearing anything remotely boot cut, straight cut, relaxed, regular etc look ridiculous  on me.
