Interesting. I thought perhaps it had originated from our Armed forces who were posted to India at the height of the British Empire days. Similarly with the origins of the phrase Doolaly (Deolali).

Also, the Malay curi (choo-ri), meaning to steal. Either way, Indian or Malay, I'd imagine it's origin was colonial.

Surprised they got an extra 2,000. Where did they appear from?

They complained about the initial allocation and they got another 2000 , if not sold they will have to pay for them, what a red neck

Aye, I know they weren't happy about their initial allocation but I don't understand where 2,000 tickets have suddenly appeared from? I'd have thought these would have been given to Celtic when the allocations were decided and they wouldn't have had any trouble selling them.

Think this morning’s article in the Scotsman sums it up nicely

Letdown: What’s the point in announcing attendances when they are as skewed as the one here? The crowd was given as 13, 516 in a Tannoy announcement in the second half and the rumble of mirth was audible. There could not have been more than 9,000 actually present including 4-500 from Dundee. Not bad when you consider it was a midweek night shortly before Christmas but still not great when it’s supposed to be a send-off ahead of a cup final. Hibs rightly battled hard to secure over 19,000 tickets for Sunday’s Premier Sports final against Celtic but this wasn’t a good look on a night when they so badly needed a win to brighten the mood before the countdown to Hampden.

Probably sell them in blocks and for some reason hadn’t released these ones  ?

According to Sportsound while the official attendance last night was slightly over 13,000 it was in fact only 9,500. The commentary mentioned swathes of empty greeting seats.

Very poor team without Boyle. Nisbet was a cart horse last night and as for the crowd numbers, pitiful.

If Boyle moves in January they could be looking at bottom 3.

Commentator on Hubs TV was gushing about the result and that they are now only 2 points off 4th place. Failed to mention that the didn't score or they are still 7 points off 3rd place.

Blinkered minds hide the truth. They are toiling.

Surely their budget will take a hammering here? Afterall, Hibs won't want to be seen cheating and living outwith their means etc etc.

Always the same with Hibs, when they’re winning they get 12/13k when they’re shite 8/9k. If your Hibs manager the minute the crowd drops below 10k just pack your bags it’s a sure sign the board will shit the bed and sack you.

Quite curious that the first Hibs transfer story of 2022 is them selling Gogic to raise money.

Who the hell would give them money for Gogic?

I would have thought they would have to pay a club to take him off their hands.

Never been on FB and never will.

At least here I know my platform and the readership.

Calling a Hibby a tit is acceptable.

Probably even compulsory. 😄

Tbh, when I googled "a tit" to get a pic to describe the Hibby, a small bird 🐦 was not my aim.

Tempted to go into my complaints about warnings and bans but it would just lead to a warning or ban.

Hibs have a weird set up with the Famous Five stand. I was informed a month or so ago that you can only sit there if you buy a childs ticket too. Seems a bit bizarre. There's not exactly a shortage of tickets down at ER, but if things pick up, they are surely only shutting people out and costing themselves money.

His Grandfather was 16 in 2006*, so it'll be stories of being a seat at Hampden.

and is also his brother.
