39 balls to catch the total.  Ooft.

No disgrace in that. No pressure on India and these guys are amongst best in the world.

Scotland doing okay to restrict Pakistan so far, but runs going to be difficult to chase. Hopefully not chasing much more than 150.

Berrington, if I'm not mistaken, has just scored Scotland's  first ever half century in an official tier 1 T20 tournament. Great achievement.

Well beaten but not disgraced. Shame we played poorest game v Namibia but heads didn't go down and they fought hard to end. The fact that India, Pakistan and New Zealand all played first teams and didn't take it easy nor piss about, is compliment to how guys have played.

Scottish players have thanked Indian players for coming into dressing room and spending time with them. Watt saying Ashwin was happy to spend half an hour advising on things he could improve and things he was doing well.

Next it's onto Australia in 11 months time. We will be in first group draw with Namibia, West Indies and Sri Lanka. Hopefully we get to Super 12 again.

At least we don't need to pre qualify against Ireland, Oman, Netherlands etc.

Hope the guys make most of this opportunity to pick the brains of Pakistan players. The chance to learn about temperament and skills is so important and it's the best way to learn.

Ubelievable batting by NZ in the last 3 overs to win the game.

Mitchell & Neesham were outstanding.

Great Game, pressure does strange things

Glorious result. Can watch semi final and final without constantly hearing about how great England are and how they are best in world.

When pressure was on, they folded, same as last T20, only instead of Stokes, it was Jordan who bottled it.

Congratulations to NZ who held their nerve and delivered victory. Can they now lift first ICC limited overs trophy?

Overall, Pakistan have been best team in tournament so far, and are favourites to lift trophy, but it would be ironic if Australia won it, given how England have been gloating about how much better they are.

Glad England are out but can't get too excited about T20, although to be fair it was an exciting run chase and that over from Chris Jordan:jj_facepalm:

Anyway, in around 4 weeks time a new Ashes thread will be on the go for the real stuff. Can't wait for that.

Hopefully England will be on receiving end of big defeat. Watching Jimmy Anderson toil on another ashes tour is always amusing, while England try to find anything resembling a spin attack.

With any luck it will be whitewash.

Jimmy can't bowl for 2 innings anymore, especially in that heat. The only bowler they have with genuine pace is Mark Wood whereas Australia have Hazlewood, Starc and Cummings. It's more even in the batting line ups, but if Root was to fail, England will be in big trouble. They have Stokes back I suppose but we've no idea where his mind is and Brisbane is no place to play with a scrambled brain.

Would love a whitewash but could be a draw in there somewhere.

It's actually really hard to win there batting first.

But wickets are falling. 5 down including Warner out caught not hitting ball.

It sounded and looked like he had nicked it. Brings into question that long accepted adage that batsmen always know they they are out

Superb batting from Wade. Ramping to Afridi takes some nerve, but that dropped catch cost Pakistan.

Interesting to hear from Curran saying it isn't run rate, it's how many 6's you need.

No total seems out of range at all.

Australia v New Zealand it is and very hard to call.

New Zealand and Australia both won their games at exactly the same point on 19 overs.

New Zealand scored 60 in last 4 overs. Australia scored 63. New Zealand 6 sixes in these last overs, Australia 5 sixes.

Big hitting.

I think these 2 semi finals will change the approach to games in future.

Sides batting first need to be more aggressive. The 2 best teams in tournament got knocked out playing percentages.

As hinted at above 6 hitting is the way ahead. 220 plus will be the first innings minimum target, subject to pitches.

Some even better games are ahead.

Superb victory for Australia. Knocked off the required runs with ease. Marsh and Warner, along with Maxwell just demolished NZ.

Great bowling attack, with Zampa tying every side down, whilst Hazelwood just does in T20 what Hazelwood does in tests.

Will we qualify automatically for 2030?

Qualifying rules need to be set first.

If same as current rules qualifying for final tournament in 2028 qualifies for 2030 but still need to get past first round as we did this time.

But the qualifying tournament isn't too demanding as long as we continue to improve. We actually nearly messed it up last time.
