Really hope they continue to struggle, a horrible club, it would be great for them to go down

This..100% of all the clubs in Scotland I would take greatest satisfaction in seeing that lot slump to relegation!

TBF they have increased the gap between themselves and us

Sure they took a huge government loan as well

Or they would not be spending so big

This lot need to suffer. Got way above themselves whilst us, the filth and deadco were in the doldrums.

They've dodged relegation when they should have gone down and have spent next to **** all on their ramshackle stadium whilst the rest of us got into serious mortgages sorting our grounds out.

About time the chickens came home to roost and for Dave Cormack to realise that having a big gob doesn't cover up bad decisions.

I hope they rot for a long, long time.

Their problem is they've tried to build a team around Scott Brown.

Celtic emptied him because they knew he's past his best. Aberdeen make him captain and put him right in the middle, one of the most important positions despite knowing he's on the way out of his career. He's now in the middle of a much poorer team, with less ability around him and he's probably not too bothered about trying that much because his bank account is comfortable.

They must have known all this yet still signed him. **** them and **** Scott Brown.

His win record at Atlanta was appalling. Other than being a former player he has zero track record and should be nowhere near that job. Totally out of his depth and it’s showing.

Only question that remains is how long they’ll persist with him.

Popcorn time for the rest of us though…

what an absolutely laughable club.. Aberdeen have been at their absolute peak for the last decade and they struggle to sell 8k season tickets.

they are Dundee United with a wealthy fan. As soon as he gets bored they are absolutely ****ed.  Aberdeen as a city is slowing dying, the football club are following

in 20 years it will be a fishing town

Aberdeen toiling is :pleasing:

The sleepy giants have been pretending to be relevant for far too long.  Should have cemented a place as the second "biggest" team in Scotland when they had a chance in the absence of Hearts, Hibs, and Rangers, and could have been making money out of a relatively unchallenged European qualifying spot. Instead, they done absolutely **** all with the chance, and now they're struggling around midtable, with a washed up arsehole as team captain, and a hopeless manager who is out of his depth.  Meanwhile, Pittodrie is crumbling and the new stadium isn't even a pipe dream anymore, it's just deluded fantasy.

Their absolute reluctance to open the chequebook and constantly do things on the cheap has backfired spectacularly.   Oh well.

Glass is his vanity project. Does he have the guts to accept the mistake.

It may be, but when you generally write similar stuff you make out as if it's fact and as most know it ain't, it's what you have read and surmised.

Aberdeen fans forget that until McInnes came in they were bouncing all over the table. In fact since 1996, they have only had 1 season where they were top 3 (well third) that McInnes was not their manager.

But I also think we are seeing the failure of Aberdeen to develop long term coming back to bite them badly on the backside. They won the golden ticket for a non-old firm team when Rangers went under in 2012 and had to start in League two, swiftly followed by us and Hibs going into the Championship. All the teams closest to their budget were out of the picture and would need to rebuild, and one of the old firm was also out of the picture. This should have been when they aimed for success short term but used the time to build their level long term (there is parallels to Celtic in the failure to take advantage of a rival out of the picture to go up a level that the rival could not catch up to.)

They should have been able to do something in Europe but they failed every time, if they got into the group stage the money could have made a big difference. But thankfully they were hopeless. I would also think their recruitment has been poor for a while, they may get a 1 or 2 good signings a season (if their lucky) but most of the team that allowed Aberdeen to be a success when McInnes was there signed just before he came or early on in his reign. They were not able to replace key players and they are facing the consequences now. There seems no plan behind it. I think they have a board who envision big things for Aberdeen and may increase their budget as they say they will, but if the infrastructure of the football side is not there then its a lot of money wasted and can have dire consequences, as we found sadly to our cost in 2019/20.

Rather he goes to Aberdeen than Hibs when they punt the creep.

Saying that if hibs appoint Neil and Heinz sponsor them it would be the best thing I’ve ever seen.

They only prospered in a shit SPL without us and Rangers. To try and claim success during that period is delusional or…just standard Aberdeen. They are back

Cormack can't sack Glass as he'll look bad and Glass can't drop Brown as he'll look bad and Brown can't drop himself as he'll look bad. What's the Aberdeen version of Hibsed It? or I guess HIbsed It has passed into the football lexicon now so that'll do.

Going by what we heard from him on a daily basis when the league got shut down I'm guessing it's "waffle, soundbite, waffle, soundbite, empty words, Americanism, jargon..." topped off with a cheesy smile highlighting painted teeth.
