micole
Sadly Passed away. Will never forget Quo at the Apollo one of the greatest gigs I've been to. Alan left Quo after the terrible Margarita Time single, it was not what he called Rock n roll from the greatest boogie band on the planet RIP. Wasn't a Status Quo fan but could see why folk liked them. Nothing but respect for leaving the band because of that song. They done some shocking stuff after that. In the army etc. They went straight for the money after that.

I P Knightley
He must have been on about 20-25 of their studio albums. That's some career and I'm glad to hear that Margarita Time appalled him so much that he jacked it in. RIP.

martoon
I quite like Margarita Time. Must have meant experimenting with other chords, at least?
