Regardless of Ri Alban’s politics this is a true statement. It’s a poverty trap. Folk have the double whammy of benefits cuts and rising energy prices. Many of the people it will hit the hardest are already paying the highest rates for gas/electric because once you are in serious debt to power companies it becomes impossible to access the best deals until that debt is paid.
