EDINBURGH CHARITY DERBY SET FOR 10TH OCTOBER – TICKETS NOW ON SALE!

September 13, 2021 2:00 pm Leave a Comment

Big Hearts Community Trust is set to meet Hibernian Community Foundation for a fundraising football game on Sunday 10th October, to mark World Mental Health Day.

It’s the first time that both charitable arms of the Edinburgh Premiership football clubs will come together on the same pitch to raise awareness around wellbeing & mental health.

This family-friendly game will kick-off on Sunday 10 October at 4pm at Ainslie Park, home of Spartans FC. We look forward to revealing which Hearts’ Legends will compete in the Big Hearts’ team!

Every year, the 10th of October is a reminder that 1 in 3 people will experience mental health issues at some point in their life. We are delighted to be joining efforts with the Hibernian FC charity on this special occasion, using the reach of football to share information on support services available across the city.

Tickets for this one-of-a-kind fundraiser are now on sale. All proceeds will go to fund our community projects across Edinburgh. A single entry ticket is priced at £5 or £2 for concessions and discounted family ticket at £10.

This friendly Edinburgh derby is supported by our joint charity partner Utilita Energy. Keep your eyes peeled for further event details, including opportunities for supporters to get involved and support their team on the day!

Apologies if this thread already exists but it’s the first I’ve seen of this. Could be a good laugh & all for a great cause, be interesting to see what other names they manage to get. Could we possibly even see our sweet prince make a return 🥺:rudiyas:

Great turnout on the day. Result was hard to take but they had a few ringers in their side so it was a bit of a mismatch.

Was great to hear the banter in the changing room. Stevo and Blackie like a good go at each other but all good natured.

Webster is a winner regardless of where he's playing. And Lockie wants to beat that lot no matter what level.

Great day all in all and for a great cause, though my playing days are well behind me. A few strains to recover from today...
