I'm just not getting carried away about Davidson just yet. Utd rather back our own manager. Often forgotten how relatively young Neilson was when he first managed us. Steve Clarke's managerial career never got going until he was about 10 years older than Neilson is now. The way Neilson has us picking up points in the Premiership and competing in the top 3 every season he's managed us suggests he has something about him to me. Why not back him instead of always talking up whatever other manager has done something doing a one-off season?

Decent discussion and you end it with your usual.  Who says I'm not backing him?  Just discussing him against another manager.

You'd accuse someone of not supporting him if klopp involved in this.

No need for the last point.

There is a tendency for some of our fans to look at any other manager and paint them in a good light compared to Neilson. Some have even done it with Jack Ross.

Just admit you can't be objective and some posters will know not to bother discussing anything like this.

It was a decent debate.

Last question.  No credit for beating Celtic but us running them close is very good?

I'm not sure what you're talking about. I've given Davidson plenty credit for LAST season. I just pointed out Neilson did very well, in two tough games for us for balance.

What about the easy draw bit?

Stop the accusations of not backing him due to an opinion.

Can you be objective?

You've lost it man. Calm down. My first post on this thread was tongue in cheek, although factually correct. I didn't expect some folk to still get so upset about anyone saying anything good about our own manager. We're doing well FFS.

You said there's more to it than just the cuo wins in gauging things.  What about the Motherwell manager who is only one point behind us with a lit less resources and hasn't been managing as long as Neilson?

So you've been trolling for fun?

Is Alexander the new Davidson now who was the new Robinson who was the new Wright? Or was Davidson the new Martindale? I lose track. I don't care about managers of other teams but I've watched Scottish football long enough to know not to place much store in one or two season wonders, and would rather praise our own manager.

Your trolling and deliberately wasting time.  Either that or it's a cop out because you've lost an argument...

I've no idea what we're arguing about tbh. You said "good discussion" then launched into it again replying to the same post for no reason. Good evening.

Thanks for posting, enjoyed that! Thought Neilson came across well.

When asked his favourite derby:

"Scottish Cup semi final, wee zic scored a hattrick and we pumped them" - glorious, PHM.

:smugger:
