They play on the massive, football pitch-sized trampoline installed at the Oriam (shoes off, of course). Poorer clubs just use pogo sticks and/or space hoppers.

I would actually pay to watch this!

Aye - Dinamo Bucharest - we got pumped😂

Thanks for that - it appears we actually won that game 2-1

But not the game I was thinking off. If we played 2 games at Leigh as someone suggested then maybe it was the other one in which Scott Robinson (I think) was subbed on the instructions of the referee

Niemi’s gloves

Ok my memory has been playing tricks. Scott Robinson was sent off (not just subbed) in the game against Ludgorets, the then Bulgarian champions in a game we lost 2-0 a few day before the Dínamo game mentioned above. Thanks to all who responded to my posts, albeit it turns out not to be relevant to the thread title.

Every game at QPR in the mid 80s was a bounce game.

That pitch was mental. Imagine playing every other week on that!

Thanks for that. It’s a good read as a reminder of how desperate things were in summer 2013 with the team only able to travel south for the game due to Charlie Irons providing free transport.

Must be some footage.

I think it was a one season only thing but I certainly saw clips, at the time, of how farcical it was.

Basketball like, iirc. 🏀

I'll have a search after the England game.

Not sure if I've got my season's right but I recall that QPR beat one of the Belgrade clubs 6-2 in Europe. They contrived to lose the 2nd leg 4-0 over there and went out on away goals.

Might have been 1984/85 and I've no idea if the home leg was on the plastic or if UEFA allowed it.

They were 15 minutes away from being English champions in 1976.

They'd played all 42 of their games and had to hope that Liverpool would lose their outstanding fixture v. Wolves.

0-1 Wolves but three late goals by the Toshack/Keegan partnership snatched away their dreams.

That's my QPR knowledge exhausted. 😊

That’s decent knowledge! Mines extended to knowing what qpr stood for😂

Tom Hardy’s Dug

I presume the Dundee game today was closed door?

Halliday, Boyce and Henderson for us in a 3-2 win. Devlin got 70 mins.

Surprised Henderson still getting game time to be honest.

Starting line-up

Stewart

Moore Halkett Kingsley

Denholm Haring Devlin McEneff Cochrane

Gnanduillet Ginelly

Finishing line up

McFarlane

Rathie Souttar Watson

C Smith McGill Benigime Boyce Halliday

Henderson Kirk

Moore and Devlin played around 70 minutes and both looked decent.  Moore solid in defece and comfortable bringing the ball forward.  Devlin was very busy and kept the ball well.

Hearts goals were all well worked and came from a glancing header by Halliday, a quick turn and powerful left foot shot from the edge of the box by Boyce, all capped off with some neat quick passing at the edge of the box and Henderson finishing it off.

How did Kirk play? Is he on loan this season? He could perhaps be a back up striker for us this season
