He wasn’t. Tried hard enough so certainly could not criticise his commitment but just never impressed. A typical  Levein signing.  Good luck to him

Watched him in a reserve game v United in st andrews and he played down the left with Henderson ahead of him. The shift he put in and the encouragement and advice he gave to hendo were impressive. Hope he has a good spell with Rochdale.

A shame he could not get back to top level fitness. Just was never there for him. He did win that penalty against Hibs clogger defender tho, so will choose to remember him for his contribution to that memorable result. One I’ll remember for a long time that cheered us up in the lockdown. If only we could’ve got our hands on that cup.

Hope he gets 100 games for Rochdale and enjoys his football, all the best.

Close the thread there.

Always seemed to give his best. Nothing but good wishes from most Jambos.

Was always in a catch 22 situation after being out injured for so long, didn't have the fitness to play 4/5 games on the bounce but really needed to play regularly to get back to full fitness.

He spoke at my plot ceremony and came across really well, wasn't happy to sit and pick up a wage, wanted to get back to his levels at leeds that seen him play internationally.

All the best for the future Aidy!

A strange signing at any other club but us. Hadn’t played in years when we signed him.

A special singing by CL and JM - their scouting shortlist must consist of injured players who no one else takes risks on BAR us.

Regal Kingston

He will always be remembered

for winning a penalty v Hibs in a semi final that got us to the final.

The general poor performances will be forgotten in time.

All the best and hope he stays injury free.

Good luck to him.

Not of the standard required for Hearts, but I’ll remember him for the pen v Hibs and when he rinsed Ajer in the lead up to Boyce goal in the final.

Was  Craig Gordon a strange signing when he joined Celtic?

You couldn't fault his commitment and that's not something you can say about a lot of our signings in recent times. Sadly wasn't to be but best wishes to the guy, hopefully he can stay free of injury for the rest of his career.

As with many players that don't make it I think he suffered from the manager's tactics. If the team doesn't play to his skill set then they look poor and don't get as many games as they would if the team played to his strengths. TBF he was a tryer and didn't shirk or hide. I suppose he could be described as poor but I do think there was a decent squad player in there given the right circumstances.

Looks like the injury setbacks have limited his career.

No ill wishes to the guy who always tried his best, but we needed better.

A fair assessment. Have a mate who is a Barnsley fan who used to rave about him pre-injury. Tried hard to be fair.
