I may not have phrased my original post correctly Gambo, but the gist of it was that he didn't really want to commit to any club unless it was understood Celtic were his final destination. As you say we refused to offer such an option, we called it a day and he moved on to Hibs, who of course are the original Celtic, but in the guise of Man of Ireland. Players they had formed the basis of the creation of Celtic as a club, so another one moving on to them won't bother them at all. I'd also put Dundee in the wardrobe with Aberdeen. Maybe celtic trying to control other clubs like they do the spfl? No other two clubs have had the close relationship that hibs and Celtic have.
