Sounded crazy but if the boy loves celtic then why not add it to your contract. Would you not add a Hearts clause to your contract if you were signing for a small club like Hibs? All you've mentioned and the way the media/press fawn all over their flair and swashbuckling would appear to confirm that. It's all paper talk surely? Agreed. Hickey was two footed, intelligent and technically a level above most. Even Patterson, despite his limitations was a beast in the air and could strike a ball. Both had something different about them. Something above average. Doig and Nisbet are decent Scottish players, really not seeing the wow factor about them. If anything, Boyles pace, directness and Ehh ability to draw fouls makes him stand out from most at out level. Porteous as well, a pound land Soapy. In short, Hibs are dugshite. I recall Robbie tried to gazump Hibs with an eleventh-hour bid for Nisbet - which offered better terms - but the player decided to stick with the Hibs offer.
