And you’d be happy with either of those outcomes too 😵

I imagine he’d be happier with a win. 😄

Second yellow for diving, karma.

He’s a makeshift left wing back, an average one at that, playing him as an out an out left back is a recipe for disaster when you have Cochrane there.

I think he played left back for Rangers.

Permit for new signing Niskanen not going to be through in time either according to The Courier.

Almost forgotten we have a game. Be tough but on the basis United ain't winning 3 in a row and we are hard to beat, I fancy Hearts to sneak it

Looks a tough game on paper.

Our away record is pretty horrific and I don't think we can expect much, if anything, from Woodburn (score a hat-trick, son, and make me look a right berk).

Three points would be superb but I wouldn't cry in my beer if we get one.

1-1.

He’s not up to playing LWB never mind LB in this league for us, only in emergencies should he be taking to the field anywhere when everyone is settled in.
Playing LB for them is vastly different than doing it for us, he’s too slow and had no idea what to do with the big lump last Sunday.

I thought it was Cochrane who had a nightmare against the big Aberdeen striker.

Halliday couldn’t handle him first of all, moved forward away from him then Cochrane had to deal with him.

I forgot Brellier already did that and the Hibs Quack let him play the next week at Ibrox 😆

I'll go with Dons starting line up but Haring out and Moore in (meaning that Cochrane is LWB and Halliday is CM). + Woody in and GMS out.

Just noticed, I have gone for same line up as post above. "Great minds" or both totally wrong?

Should be good enough to win with that, and a strong bench.

Was mulling this over and thinking we were a stick on to draw but for some reason am feeling a little more confident now that Woodburn and Moore have arrived, I'm predicting a 0-2 win for us. God knows why just feel we will have a good performance lol

I would assume we will stick with a 3-4-3 formation, so my team would be,

Gordon

Souttar Moore Halkett

Smith Beni Woodburn Cochrane

Gino Boyce GMS

Gino and Woodburn to score.

Imo, if we play well, we will be better than them and win.  If we are defensive, hesitant, error prone and generally useless, we will lose.

Let's hope Neilson et al have shaken all that out of them.

And if we get a 2-0 lead with plenty of time left, please, please, please don't sit back.

Please.

Released by Hearts due to ‘career ending’ injury. Turned up at Celtic to play a few months later. 🤔

When you look at the league it’s a massive match for us.

You would expect Hibs and Aberdeen to win so we need to win to keep up with them.

Celtic v Rangers meet so something has to give there.

Chance to open up a gap over United and the rest.

I think Halliday will probably play ahead of McEneff but that's the team I'd like to see, assuming that Gnando and Woodward start, as I said in my original post.

Well you don't know the manager.

Eskilsson's a given but I'm far from sure about Mackay and Robertson.

I'm afraid they're just not good enough.

I'm thinking there's a good chance McEneff will start. Feels like it's almost now or never(ish) given Devlin will be available too after this game.

Shevlane at RB and Holt at LB for starters!

Anderson instead of Eskilsson and push Cumming into midfield.

This is one of the big ones. Really want to cuff them on their patch. We should have a lot more attacking options with Gnando, Pollock and Woodburn back and Ginnelly hopefully fully fit.

I really hope we look to play on the front foot, this would be a great game to pick up another three points in. We then have fixtures against Hibs, Ross County, Livingston and Motherwell, and could collect points in them all and establish a formation/playing style which in turn could convince us to go to Ibrox and play without fear.

Agree. We've made a terrific start considering we were handed probably the hardest opening fixtures of any of our rivals for the top 4. The wee teams are the games we traditionally slip up on after a decent run though (aside from Hibs obviously - one of the easier fixtures traditionally) so a win this weekend would be huge.

             Gordon

Souttar Halkett Kingsley/Cochrane (depending on Kingsley's fitness)

                Beni

Smith                    Cochrane/Halliday (depending on Kingsley's fitness)

             Woodburn

Ginnelly                    GMS

                  Boyce

Or maybe switch Woodburn for Ginnelly and Haring or Halliday in CM with Beni.

I'll go against the grain. Not a close game, we're rampant, and a 1-3 scoreline flatters them.

Boyce brace and one for Beni.
