Greens finally getting something with Scottish Government saying it won't build any more roads.

This SNP’s self implosion continues.

We won't need roads in an independent Scotland. Future tech only for this forward-thinking, pioneering nation.

I see the shaving bits off the bottom of school doors has been abandoned.

Maybe best after Scottish Government only paid out £1million from a £25 million fund to help businesses improve ventilation, rejecting more than half of the low number of applications.

Surely that can’t be any sort of commitment from the SG ? We won’t build any more roads, ever ? 😂

Agree. Need more flying cars to avoid all the potholes that no-one can be bothered filling in anymore

Anyone else find it peculiar that according to Nicola Sturgeon a rerun of lost referendum will happen in 2023 but a date, exact wording of the question and terms haven't been published? I'm confused its almost like she's stringing her suporters along....

You’ve picked the one thing that isn’t peculiar about Wee Nic. Stringing along is her thing.

She knows it's over. Independence is finished for now. Not forever but not in next years. Maybe even Alex Salmond's 'generation'.

It could be she is going through this (which includes eventually publishing the legal advice) to prepare the way for abandoning it without taking any responsibility.

Apparently releasing part 1 of a 3 part vision next week.

Expect vague soundbites rather than any detail on currency or borders etc.

Just another carrot to dangle in front of the minority.

A vision

There seems to be zero urgency in requesting a section 30 which makes me very suspicious.  The legal wrangle around it will take a while then if granted preparation for a legal Indy ref . So it’s pie in the sky for next year really .

Glad to see the document launched today. Started it at lunch and will look to finish it later. I personally don't find it well written (very repetitive of the same points as though written by numerous individuals then stitched together and not edited) but it's insightful so far and I'm looking forward to the additional papers to follow.

SNP supporters won't like it as they think their representatives are beyond reproach, but fact is they are all as bad as each other and politics seems to attracts more than its fair share of deviants and reprobates

It's all a bit Brexity

Is it?

Aiming to be like similar sized nations in proximity to yourself who outperform you on numerous metrics by building equality and reducing inequity whilst forming strong bonds with their geographic neighbours doesn't sound a lot like Brexit. Brexit to me sounded like, we don't need anyone else because we're already the best because we're Great Britain.

When is the next instalment released? You know the part when it gives us tangible information we can use to make a decision?

I was thinking particularly of the bit about hard borders and being poorer.

The other countries bit is old hat and not relevant. Unless any of them were ripped out of a 400 year old union and told to start from scratch during an upcoming global recession etc?

All hot air....it's never happening.

A box has been ticked today with a bit of stirring rhetoric, nothing more and nothing less. Sturgeon has already said that she will only do what is constitutional and today she has done what said she would do, which is "all that is within her powers".  This is a face saving exercise aimed at keeping her opponents from within onside.
