Interesting what would happen if either of the bigot twins were in a similar position.

Although I think we know the answer

Yup, no common sense or sympathy shown by our authorities as we well know.

Laying on a bit thick with the welfare of our players bollox. They want it postponed because of their chances of winning are reduced.

Bazzas right boot

This will affect various teams over the season.

Our authorities are not equipped to deal with such big decision making, from the moment they demoted us, just about every decision they have made has made little sense and sometimes bordering on the ridiculous.

Lack of training / preparation aside, it's probably not a great idea to force 15 players to play a high tempo game of professional football in summer so soon after having a viral illness.

Imagine one collapses with a cardio issue or the likes.

Absolute arseholes.

It will happen again, what if it was a cup final or a key game?

They've set a ridiculous precedent as well that wil no doubt cause Contraversy.

It is no surprise that yet again the authorities in charge of running the game in Scotland show scant regard for the welfare of the teams they are meant to represent.

Berra than you

Was there not a situation a few years ago where we managed to postpone a game after some players became ill with the flu in our squad? How is this different?

Correct decision imo but as mooted already there's no way they'll be consistent with it. They should be though.

Also this.

They weren't consistent with Dundee last week.

This sums it up for me. Well said.

How is it that those making decisions in our game are this tinpot?

When Covid makes 14 players unavailable you allow a postponement. It fails to be a competitive fixture if Falkirk are forced into either losing the game because they can't field players, or because they have to field their u18s or whatever.

We really need to begin to back these clubs up publicly and start putting pressure on the decision makers within the game. The sad reality is that we're just waiting for it to be our turn.

The trouble for Falkirk now is they've made a big statement about believing that playing the players who have been in isolation would be putting their health at risk. If the SPFL call their bluff and say game on, then surely Falkirk either have to play the game without those players or forfeit the game. If they play them then the conclusion has to be that either they are willing to people players' health at risk or they were full of it to begin with.

If they don't play them, see them hit with a charge of fielding a weakened team!

Shambles!

Presumably the issue is that the majority of the players are available. They will be out of isolation before the game. I don't remember any Hearts fans complaining when we played Raith on the back of half their team having just come out of self-isolation. It is really poor that the league have managed to start another season without clear rules on when games will be postponed or not due to covid.

Nah, as soon as its us we'll be going mental.

Its crazy not to allow postponing this. 1st player that pulls up with a torn hamstring due to lack of preparation could lose thousands in appearance money.

If the clubs in question can agree a date then why not allow the postponement?

Only 5 tested positive for the virus and what I can gather were asymptomatic.

All the players are available on Saturday and I'm sure they would be doing some kind of training in isolation.

Just get on with the game instead of looking for postponements all the time

Start their match with seven players and none on the bench.

See how long the match lasts for. Could be an injury or a red card in a few minutes. Could be 30 minutes of injury time as players can't leave the field for treatment so play would need to be stopped.

Could be interesting to see the league's about turn after the team sheets come out.

Bit like how they stopped our pre season training last season just before our semi final when Aberdeen and Celtic players broke rules.

the authorities don’t give a shit.

Yes, shot themselves in the foot a bit. They should play their youth team

Correct decision, or not, it won't be the same if Celtic or Rangers can't fulfil a fixture.

The mitigation put forward by Donc, SPFL, SFA...will be like nothing we've never seen before.

The players are all available and 9 of the 14 are available to train on Friday. Correct decision. In the same circumstances Celtic or Rangers would have found a way to get the game postponed. Floodlight failure, frozen pitch, referee and 4th official both get food poisoning, whatever.

But it isn't, they mention this in their statement.

Watch what happens when it's one of the ugly sisters.

Further proof we need changes at the top, the sooner the better.

Not having a go at you btw just sick of the SPFL making it up as they go.

Yep

Which is why I despise the bigot twins and the SPFL/SFA a joke of an organisation.
